Has the update been released yet?
And back to the 100 Mario Challenge.
A few interesting courses this time around and I managed to avoid any blatantly unfair ones too.
@Roknin - Hooray, more people enjoying that stage!
ā¦ Funny thing, I had no idea the Munchers could crush you when shot out of a cannon. Well, dangit. That star placement is actually kinda evil, then, because I know more people than you are going to try to do that! Oh well.
(Has anyone checked to see if the update that was scheduled for today is fully functional?)
Regardless, Iāve added LordWilliam1234ās latest video and Rokninās last three videos to the front page. I must admit that I laughed quite a bit at Rokninās 11th video.
To be honest, I thought you knew that and did on purpose since you designed places where Munchers need to be stepped on to progress. Then again, itās pretty easy to forget that Munchers are essentially more object than enemy sort of like Thwomps, especially when Thowmps canāt crush you to death by their very design.
Then again, those Bullet Bill launchers oddly donāt instantly kill you if they land on you but instead harmless bounce off, so I suppose the series is a bit consistent there or itās another glitch, just rather subtle.
Reuploaded a couple of my stages with checkpoints.

Updated, @Dungeonman.
Also, psst. Updateās out, yāall. Remember to launch Mario Maker from your actual Wii U menu, rather than the quicklaunch menu, to download the update.
Just beat Bowserās Puzzle Dungeon. Itās some tough stuff, oldschool Nintendo, but some of the puzzles are far less ruthless than you might think.
One hint to something that had me stumped:
Spoiler
You donāt actually need a helmet at any point during the stage.
Also be aware that a couple of those Event stages are troll stages. Namely the one made by that comedian guy, and the third Arino stage (well, that oneās not so bad, but there is the occasional Kaizoblock).
Indeed, itās very inconsistent haha!
I was pretty floored when the Muncher killed me because I kinda saw the solution to that part as soon as I saw the star and the Munchers, and Munchers + Star is such a common thing thatās been around since SMB3ā¦ my mind was like, āwait, since when?!ā
But yes indeed, very awesome level!
All the levels in that vid, I genuinely had fun with.
Iāve been playing some the courses designed by Nintendo and some of the Event courses. Some of the costumes you get are pretty cool.
Iām one star away from my next medal to upload more courses.
Another 100 Mario Challenge. This one was recorded before the update so no checkpoints or upgrade mushrooms.
Some pretty good courses in this batch. Particularly the second to last one.
New Event Course is out, celebrating the Super Mario Kun comic. The course is unspectacular, but it does net you a cheesy-cool anime-Mario costume.
(Super Mario Kun? I guess itās a Japan-only comic since Iāve never hear of it even in passing.)
Is there any indication of if a stage has a checkpoint (or more than one, if thatās even possible)? Or do you have to blunder through the course until you happen to find one?

Iāve added this to the front page. Iād argue the most interesting one was actually the fourth stage despite being a crappy stage over, if only because it made me aware that Magikoopa can temporarily get rid of the flagpole. That might be fun knowledge provided I ever get my hands on the game.
As for āVengeanceā, Iām surprised you didnāt try going right to see if you didnāt have to go through that particular door. I doubt that there was an alternate route and it would have been greatly improved by the new checkpoint system (and being less of an asshole about the surprise Thwomp placement), but it was still an above average stage overall in terms of design.
I updated some of my levels, making them a little more user friendly with checkpoints and minor tweaks. If you havenāt been able to get through them yet, I encourage you to give the new versions a try.
** Over/Under**
5B94-0000-00DC-D10D
** Stars, Spikes, & Fire**
7A21-0000-00DC-DF68
Mushroom Kingdom Basics
1C58-0000-00DC-E82A
I deleted Mushroom Kingdom Basics 2, as the new version reflects all the latest changes. The completion rate wasnāt very high on it, so hopefully the tweaks make it a little less frustrating.
I didnāt fuck with Cheep Cheep Bridge because you gotta get your flow down for that one as is, and itās so short to begin with (you start with a 60 second timer).
Hope you guys like the changes
Kamekās Rail Castle
Course ID: BD46-0000-00DF-EA0D
Hereās another one for you all to try. Sort of inspired by Ludwigās Castle from SMW. No screenshots the time because my capture device isnāt setup on my Wii U right now. (Third time reuploading because people suck)
Re-uploaded my Forest Temple again:
59AA-0000-00DE-320E
Same level but I added a checkpoint after the first main puzzle. Should make it less frustrating.
@T20thoughts can you update the first post with my most recent code? I had re reupload the level.
Thought that was done already! It is now.
Iām over 50 stars so I can upload more levels. Hereās one Iāve had finished for a while now.
Letās Start
377D-0000-00E0-DFF1
This is an entry level course. Thought itād be fun to take a stab at designing a level as it it were the very first one of a Super Mario game. Be sure to check the pipes.
I just tried my hand at a Metroid-themed course.
Itās called:
** Super Mariotroid**
902D-0000-00E1-0EB0
Give it a try!!
caved in and bought it from good impressions i had at BB. GT help sell me on it too, this was great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-mG66pwQ5M
how long does it take yaāll to make a level on average?
canāt wait to troll my friends
@T20thoughts oops, I misspelled the name of my last posted level, reflected in my edit. Should be ** Super Mariotroid**
