The Super Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

I was the one that asked if the bios was copy paste from other books.

I think there is hope that there is a missed on this because of Guy bio that contradicts SFV Zeku.

It is. :slightly_frowning_face:

I hope so.

Yep! This too.

When I first read it, I thought that they were mentioning the story only from the 90ā€™s perspective. But then, some profiles mentioned SF4 and 5 events. Anyway, I do think that only 2 to 3 years is too little time for someone to surpass their sensei, becoming the new Bushin-Ryu masterā€¦

@Midgardsorm, oh man, really? Sigh! Thanks for checking it anyway.

Yeah, iā€™m ok with this

@Midgardsorm Itā€™s funny how 10 years later, weā€™d finally gotten a female robot master in the form of Splash Woman so whatā€™s stopping them back in 1998 with ā€œSexyManā€. I think the Strider one is hinting that it could be Protoman in disguise and Iā€™m guessing Mr.Mon Ami is one those ā€œspecial robotsā€ Wily creates to kill Megaman once every few games (think King, Enker etc).

Megaman being so obsessed with fighting seems strange as well. Is it a parody of how OoC he is in MVC1+2? The poster also mocks the Saturn ports, presumably because by 1998, the Dreamcast was out and they no longer needed a RAM cart, even MM&B pokes fun at the Saturn, the CAP! magazines have really interesting things in them but the magazines are more oriented towards console games than arcade games which means there arenā€™t much SF stuff. Iā€™ve already shown the 2 SF related ones I could find.

@Lord_Vega I think Danā€™s might be ā€œI am the strongestā€ or ā€œMy style is the strongestā€. Have you not been able to get translations because the lack of videos on MVSF? I can try to compile them.

I will always love this. JohnnyUtahā€™s always gold, but his traumatized Alex is grand. Wish heā€™d make more SF animations.

@Shockdingo TBF the video is kind of outdated considering most of these characters have re-appeared in some forms. Iā€™ve seen it before but I didnā€™t see all of it though, closed it the moment I saw that Mika part.

Actually it reminds me of that one time I made a story with Shadaloo as a abusive family in the old thread.

Well it was made in 2009.

That would explain why the SF3 characters that were in SF4+Yun werenā€™t in the bar. Though TBF modern Ibuki seems like the kind to happily lose her virginity at the age of 15 in that bar.

Iā€™m watching spanish tv series La Casa de Papel/Money Heist these days, glad Gief got a job

Ok, part of this was already translated, so sorry for the repetitions. Hereā€™s the original post by @Lord_Vega with better quality scans.

  1. NEO SHADALOOā€™S ROOM
  2. Neo Shadaloo is the new organisation that Ed leads. We hereby present you the candidate characters who were unfortunately rejected.
  3. The bone conduction master, Dobermann (codename)
  4. The bone conduction master, Dobermann (codename)
  5. Dobermann, the bone conduction master. By using the bone conduction switch, his body tightens. In his tense state, his attack is stronger; in his fat and relaxed state, his defence is stronger. His metabolis is severely altered by the Psycho Power that fills his blood.
  6. Fighting plumber (68 years old)
  7. Jim (68 years old) fights using his handmade artificial arm. He likes to tell his grandson tall tales about his past in the army. Heā€™s currently a plumber, and crafted for himself an artificial arm using leftover parts.
    ā€œWhen I was a soldier, I often saved America from evil aliensā€
  8. this is very interesting. From left to right: ā€œFour Kingā€ 2, Balrog, Ed, ā€œFour Kingā€ 1. Basically this tells us that they were initially considering to maintain the former Shadaloo structure as intact as possible, by recruiting two more ā€œFour Kingsā€ (a giant one with a dwarf on his shoulder? And a smaller one) and keeping Balrog and Ed together.
  9. Sheā€™s normally chubby, but she can use Psycho Power to stiffen her body. Sheā€™s a gentle woman specialised in a fire dance. She acts as a mother figure for Ed and the others.
  10. Shizaru seriesĀ¹
    Kikazaru (ā€œHear notā€)
  11. A battle android. She has speakers on her hips, who produce a roaring sound. She is an obnoxious character who blabbers incongruous sentences, all the while without listening to what people say.
  12. Shizaru series
    Iwazaru (ā€œSay notā€)
  13. A young French gang member. He could instruct his underlings only using his eyes, but because he overuses them heā€™s constantly congested. He loves foul play, and always plays with a knife between his fingers.
  14. Shizaru series
    Mizaru (ā€œSee notā€)
  15. A fighter whose view is obstructed by a female monkey because she loves him. His frantic struggles to remove the monkey ended up giving him Drunken boxing-like movements. How adorable, a jealous monkey who doesnā€™t want her man (?) to see other females, be them human or animal.

Ā¹ 四ēŒæ shizaru ā€œfour monkeysā€, referencing the traditional Three wise monkeys. Itā€™s an old saying based on a play on words: the proverb was 見恖悋聞恋恖悋čØ€ć‚ć–ć‚‹ mizaru, kikazaru, iwazaru, literally ā€œsee not, hear not, speak notā€, symbolically meaning ā€œsee no evil, hear no evil, speak no evilā€. The saying sometimes adds a fourth general verb, 恗恖悋 shizaru, ā€œdo notā€ (evil). -Zaru is a Classical Japanese negation (not used anymore in modern Japanese, although still understood), but also the rendition of ēŒæ saru ā€œmonkeyā€ in compounds. So, the saying originated the three (four) monkeys. One has to wonder whether they wanted to create a fourth Monkey or not, considering the nameā€¦

No, thatā€™s not the problem. Actually I never was that much interested in those crossover quotes.
I did get Vegaā€™s XVSF and MSHXSF winning quotes. If memory serves me well, his intro audio speech is the same as his Ultra in SF4 ā€œThis place shall become your grave!ā€. BTW, did you managed to discover how many winning quotes each character has in MSHVSF and MVC?

Right now, I want to end the translation of the original SF2WW, still have 3 characters to go (Blanka, Dhalsim and Zangief). Once this is finished, Iā€™ll post the translation here.

@Midgardsorm, thanks for the translation. Awesome as always! But I think that you messed up with no 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Could you please check?
BTW, no 14 is prettyā€¦ disturbing.
LOL.

The funny thing is that my post was correct. Itā€™s Discourse that automatically changes the order arbitrarily if you make a list, it seemsā€¦ I had to repeat 3. and 4. (theyā€™re the same anyway) in diverse lines to fix that.

Oh, Ok. Thanks!

-Plumber seem to me an attempt to recover SFEX Areaā€™s iron arm ideaā€¦ as long Area isā€™nt attached to it, iā€™m not against

-Lol at fat lady being able to trasform into a thin (hot) oneā€¦ canā€™t do a female chair without waifuize it lol

-French guy still looks interessing to me, even in itā€™s stupid edgynessā€¦ it will have worked well in SF with his vampiresque design
Will have not liked NeoS uniform, but chars born with 3 costumes these days

Most of others are bad imho, scrapped SF4 concepts intrigued me more

From what Iā€™ve seen in JP ROM. Each character has 8 quotes in MVSF (similar to XMVSF) and one reserved for Apocalypse. The English quotes for Apocalypse are mixed up (Omega Red has Spidermanā€™s quote and Akuma uses Sakuraā€™s quote). So maybe there were originally special quotes for them in the JP version. The team quote was only something from the Saturn ports, it doesnā€™t work in the ROM I have (where you can easily switch between regions).

MVC1 is a strange one. Certain characters have a certain number of quotes. Venom and Jin have about 5 while characters like Roll and Strider have about 9. Wolverine only has 4. However most characters have about 6-7. I doubt the ones in MVC1 are anything special though. I donā€™t think theyā€™re any team ones. I think MVC1 is inaccurate because I didnā€™t play it as much as MVSF.

I like the Plumber, Honestly he is more interesting to be an Engineer or a Mechanic for Shadaloo that went into retirement instead than a Plumberā€¦

And he can be a father figure something to ED in his stay in Shadaloo, Not just Balrog.

Or he might even be a scrap proto father figure for ED before it was turned into Balrog.

Mechanical Arm is way the go, as for the rest Iā€™m not a fan of the gimmick kinda too complex, redundant or overrated except for the French Guy but the ability seems eh?.

As the son of a plumber that was in the armed forces, Iā€™m partial to that character idea.

That said, Dobermann and the fire dancer sound like a cross between Rock Leeā€™s 8-gates and Choujiā€™s fat-calorie consumption powered up mode.

First Ed, Cody and now this!!! How many SF characters are based on you? Capcom are on to something strange.
