The Kage reveal made a ton of people happy, and personally I enjoy everything about the character. If Evil Ryu had to be in the game, then Kage is a good way to go on about it.
The disappointment of CPT finals was the fact that Capcom did not reveal anything else and left us blue balled. This is partially because we were spoiled all year this year with AE, but also because those fake leaks rotted our minds.

Some of those leaks mightâve been correct, itâs just that all the leakers were wrong about big announcements coming at CapCup.
Most likely a separate upgrade as itâs supposed to come in December 2019 (in case they havenât changed their plans), so SSFV = S5, maybe.

Yeah, each Season should have something big to promote (S1 - A Shadow Falls; S2 - all brand new chars; S3 - Arcade Edition; S4 - 2nd story; S5 - SSFV).
Depends on SFVIâs release date. If itâs 2022, then SSFV will last for 1 season.

Almost everybody else seem to dislike the char for obvious reasons that go beyond âi didânt got muh xxxâ
The vid of the audience during reveal is poetic at it, 10 guys jumping exalted, rest of the crowd in meh reaction lol
Other characters could have made âton of peopleâ happy and still left everyone else kinda positive, just go straight into shoto fapper safe bet (and i main Ryu lol) was simply low
It was also bad timing, because evil ryu (or kage if we want keep that farce) could have been used as Season ender, when everybody else was a bit more satisfied with full belly, not when everybody is starving for new cool stuff/info/chars

Leaks are possibilities and most treat them as such
Peoples shit on the announcement because it was a crap announcement, no matter how one want play defense advocate, it was objectively the weakest SFV ever got
-highly divisive (and for many cheap) char
-no season announcement (+no season plans right now LOL)
-no new modes
-not even a fucking stage lol
-no further explanation aside âwe will do differentâ, no date to look forward to.
One can imagine dates or events when we will know more, but on theyr side is crap communication
After that i still believe S4 (even without be a âseasonâ) can still be great, with 5 other characters all spot on and hype worthy, with tons of new shining shit and modes getting everybody erected
I TRULY believe 2019 will still bring good stuff for SFV fans
But today as we speak the negativity is all theyr own fault and well deserved

I think 6 char format can easily stay
What will change is that they will keep release chars that can be buy individually as they did with kage, and release the option of buy them all together at bit lower (than theyr sum) $$$ only at the end of the season.
Essentially a âSeason 4 Packâ at the end instead usual âSeason 4 Passâ at begin
They are already showing same pattern of strategy with costume packs
Instead do quick offer, let impatient buyers pay more getting stuff individually
Then after do the offer to get everyone else, compared to season pass you got the advantage that potential buyers already seen (and even played against) the characters (+alts, dlcs, stages) wich can be a stronger motivation to spend money than 6 shadow silhuettes or a line of portraits
For sure, at least she could be interesting and have a good design. Her backstory is pretty captivating too. Kage is so bleh
But I doubt a new character to launch a new season would work. Theyâd have to go with a fan favorite, just too bad it had to be the worst of the worst kind.
Anyway, to me the lack of a season pass only furthers my feelings on SFV not lasting beyond 2020.

Itâs hard to argue, agree she could have interesting design and bring new ideas and the same thing they choose is to appeal in casual for profit.
but for the story thatâs more favor to Kage.
We can still see whatâs in store in EVO Japan.
