The Super Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

That’s what they did, but still is bullshit next to the canon character concept

So it’s even cheaper lol, at least evil ryu will have been cheap but honest money grab
This crap is just a mess lol, specially as season opener with no declared season plan

This will have been even worse, wrong on so many level

A good start could have been Rose with beautiful redesign, flashy/tricky af revamped moveset and a spectacular new stage with her (Venice boat concept pls)

This will have morally boosted a wider range of audience, even if specifically hype less people.
Then add that while no plan for Season Pass exist, 2019 will be just as good if not better

Instead we got people call them cheap as if we will never see anything better than a fucking evilryu for entire 2019/game life and calling SFV done, when in theory still have 2 years of support

It’s the usual capcom idiots managing to look bad even when maybe they got good stuff in the pockets

Example they dropped shadow silhuettes as was bad trasparency for SP buyers… but if they don’t do a SP this time (i think at S4 end they will sell a group pack, essentially an after-SP4), they could just have dropped the silhuettes group to get people hype and focusing on something else than cheap crap eryu or the SP removal and assure everybody SFV it’s not done

Usual idiots

It make clear nothing lol, as most don’t know the meaning of the japanese word

And while not a what if (as he’s happened) he’s definitely a “Ryu’s product”, as a shadow is (a shadow need to be the shadow of something)…

Wich is what the name straight explain to japanese audience, but does’nt (at all) to anybody else

Just terrible adaption, dropped there because works as cool exotic name

@Bakf what’s Capcom Japan interpretation and implying to it?

Kage as a description given by others because being unknown?

Or Kage as a name of it not a label.

I was just joking because of the another side story character named phantom

I honestly think we are looking at the last season of SFV, at least in terms of new content/characters. I think they planned for 2 further seasons, but were told to scrap that and start the focus on SF6.

Ending the game at the end of 2019 would go along with the “support until 2020” statement they made earlier. I reckon what they have in a bunch of completed characters and maybe another 2 or 3 which are half completed, but for whom they already made some sort of 2nd story.

They need to decide whether to complete those characters before end of 2019 or just lose them entirely.
I do think there will be a CPT 2020 though, just as a transition year unstil SF6 in 2021.

Then either at the end of CPT 2020 (less likely) or E3/PlayStation Experience a SF6 announce.

Looking at other people discouraging playing sfv and saying sf6 should begin is kinda meh. They were niche people they always appear to popup in sf articles and game group.

I would give them a chance in feb evo japan if they just revealed a single character, we know where it will be going. I’m still expecting around less than 4 characters. SF6 is likely.

Yeah, I’m certain SSFV will be the end of the main support of the game, so S4 should be a huge pack of new content. I do get that Capcom make a lot of money from Esports and stuff, but the game is getting old one way or another. I mean even SFIV’s support was supposed to be dropped after three years, but SFxT was a failure so…
We’ll finally see at EVO Japan what they’ve been working on since after releasing G & Sagat in early August, lol.

Ya’ll talking about SF6 are delusional. SF5 is no where near done.

I wonder if we will still get cinematic mode 2?

Yeah, I think the story mode (although probably nobody expects it at this point due to Kage and the time that has passed) is one of the main reasons they’re doing things differently now, and that’s most likely why they kept the game’s future in the shadows even at Capcom Cup which is the last and the biggest tournament of the year.

So it was cinematic mode 2 is the main reason.Do you guys believe that cinemactic mode is the last mode we can possible get for single player mode in sf5?

You mean Capcom Cup is the last biggest tournament for SF5 or entirely up to SF6?

I mean the last tournament of the year, obviously. They announced Capcom Pro Tour 2019.
Possibly, but I also hope we get the NPC Versus mode after that.

So you mean it’s the biggest last tournament for SF5 next year? how about multiplayer modes?

Capcom Pro Tour is a set of tournaments, not one tournament)
Dojo doesn’t have much stuff at the moment, so Online Training might become part of it eventually, and many people would like to see Online Team Battle as well.

So that’s it? how about 2020?

You mean the most biggest of the year right or the last biggest it would be involve?

If there is a Season 5 after that, I don’t see it being anywhere near as big as S4 (less than 6 chars for sure imo). 2019 will be Darkstalkers’s 25th Anniversary, and there are MvC4 rumors, so those might be their high priorities in 2020.
I meant Capcom Cup was the last tournament of CPT 2018)

So you mean theres a chance that we won’t get cinematic mode 2 because the time has passed?

I’m 100% sure we’ll get it. I said that probably nobody expects to see it at this point after such a long wait.

So Kage was the main reason the releases of everything else so they were delayed?

and the time has passed.

I mean the Kage reveal disappointed many people as it showed nothing afterwards (not even silhouettes) so they don’t expect much from S4, but they don’t understand Kage is only the beginning.
