This will probably be an unpoplar opinion but in my view SF should probably go the Echo fighter route like smash bros.
Have “new” characters which are just skins of old and at the dame time satisfy those who are asking for those characters.
It can easily be done imo and would be a alot of fun. Those characters would have thier own story mode but not trials for obvious reasons.

Agree Geki is better Vega because of the Claw.

Cammy’s gone a bit too far, would rather have the one where she’s fully clothed.
I’ve also noticed they’ve given her KP style pants on the left, so Capcom have listened to my pleas. Now we need a black shirt baring her midriff and we’ll be complete.
Just proves that Cammy was the original “sexy” street fighter character. She looked like hotness even back in thr 16bit pixelated form.
Shes not sexy in the huge tittay way either like most of the other SF characters. Funnily enough the closest Ive seen replicating that vibe so far is Menat.
Back to Echo fighters… For me it would be more than just skins, they would have thier own voicework, storymode, win quotes etc… I.e everything but the actual moves list will be different from the “base” character.
They COULD make some subtle changes. For example with vega-geki he would lost his flying wall shenanigans but gain a teleport and kunai like throw from SF1.
Ken-Sean would have a modied dragon punch, basketball taunt and overhead kick. They recycle a hell of a lot of animations anyway, so theyd just need to find a suitable one.
Just a teleport exclusive intro for Geki-like Vega would do. Even without the shurikens.
They could replace the rose the he throw with a giant shuriken to compensate with the projectile attack Geki had in SF1.
Rose attack Vtrigger Vega, a ordinary shuriken will do.

Personally i love it to happen, also because it’s not far to what Crossover Alt already do, but it will give the vibe to enrich the current cast instead be just there as “freakshows” from another universe
Trying to keep it SF/FF related, with chars of similar size and using voices from games they was in (when possible)

I’d rather have Lee, Retsu and Geki with their own character slots to be honest.
Yeah obviously they would be better as their own characters, but this is the next best thing. Its a shame as I think they have a lot of potential (at least more than Abigail ever did lool).
Lee - Never had a drunken master before, could be a very techical character like his dad (?)
Retsu - Also saw him as some sort of cross between Makoto and Gouken, close range hard hitting karate man
Geki - Proble with this guy is that he has stuff thats already covered by shit loads of ninjas already in the series. Mostly Ibuki and Vega.
Joe - Was meant to be Cody originally… go figure. Cant see what they would do with him if he ever returned to be honest.
Mike - Already 3 (arguebaly better) boxers in series.
Oh and Eagle needs to return to Street Fighter as soon as possible. Maybe theyre saving him for SF6?
Drunken Master Lee and Retsu probably have the most potential as NEW old characters. Eagle is welcomed back obviously, as he was super stylish and underappreciated.
Actually Retsu is a Shorinji Kempo master, wich will be even more unique
It’s much more about combos of quick “smaller” punch/kicks (SF target combos can work nice) that do cumulative damage rather than single destructive strike like Karate.
Add to the mix some classic jap throws (maybe counters) grabbing the hand/wrist/arm
Also due the nature of the char will be fun/fitting if essentially get designed around the idea of school the opponent getting in his face having the tools to harsh punish errors/openings with target combos

I’m bit amaze that the guy is still referencing the rest of the modes to something to expect while disregarding the whole pile of alt costumes.
I won’t look into the stages since some of them are likely and obvious to happen, but not the rest of the pile that even Xkira did.
I would rather be convince that this is legit if the new “sets” of V-Mechanics would ever happen. Thats where the weight of truthfulness his speculation and leaks is. The compilation is a bit ambitious and complicated mix. There is a very much impracticality part of those.
If this fail… I’m starting to see a whole new gimmick of excuse that DASvergen did… the IMPOSTOR alibi as a recurring trend.
