The Suits Thread

good episode. looking forward to next weeks. rachel had a point that was indirectly at mike about looking over your shoulder. i think this season is time to finally call it a wrap between those two. they are living two completely different lives really, and mikes could fall apart at any time, regardless of how powerful are the people at the firm who know his secret and have his back.

id actually like to see something written into the show where mike finally triumphs over the whole harvard scandal by the dean owing him one or something, but even then i dont know how that helps. people he allegedly graduated with wont know who he is. there is no paper trail for him paying to go there. no teachers will know him.

well i guess for now they can ignore it, and just let him and rachel call it a final quits, then once the show nears its end, hopefully no time soon, then we will see mike written out, probably just dropping from law altogether and using his talents in other ways to make a living.

his character is just such a liability. lol. also, ugh, everytime i see rachels sexy ass walking around in her business skirt, i just think ugh, i bet you look so good naked, and have the cleanest butthole. loool. pervy shit son.

anyways, the dinner scene was fun, and i liked the episode a lot overall. might actually rewatch it.

They JUST got together so I don’t see why they would break them up already. I dont see anything but happy ending for those 2 when the show ends but I dont really care about them either way.

Mike should be happy for Rachel if she winds up getting into stanford. People go through a lot more in their relationships to make it work than that.

Suits - S3 E5

Spoiler

Opening scene needed more bedroom Donna screen-time as the moment was quite fleeting.

Judge’s chambers antics between Harvey and Evil Birdman continue.
‘Bullshit Highway’ was a nice line.

Louis… If you only knew what Donna was up to.
Apparently, yoga works wonders in having a ‘glow’, lol.

Louis/Nigel conflict going on because of the associates.
Memo communication failure?

It’s weird to see Donna be on the other end of the gossip questioning.

Really, Rachel… just like that and Mike knows about Donna’s ‘thing’ with Huntley.
You better be worried, Mike.

lol @ Donna when Huntley stopped by for business with Harvey.
A gentleman’s bet? Big money being thrown out here.
Leave, Mike. You can’t hang with these ballers.

Another mudding scene? Well, no mudman this time around.
Mudding is serious for Louis and Nigel.

Harvey/Huntley duo is interesting to see though.
There’s the man himself; Tony Gianopolous.
$50,000 bond gone just like that… Dude is like, “IDGAF about money.” Damn.

Mike/Rachel duo is also interesting to see, though the case seems to highlight stuff between a man and a woman that could likely resonate with the couple.
All Rachel needs now is a degree.

Louis… you really set yourself up with that ‘blowing glass’ comment, though the name drop of Chihuly was good.
lol @ Nigel with glass sculpture antics.
Another meeting between the two… and there’s a cat.
Look at Louis… he’s so happy with the cat. Nigel is like, “What?”

Gianopolous doing some ‘scorched earth’ stuffs in regard to Pearson-Darby clientele, via the Ava situation.
Jessica is like, “This is your problem (Harvey).”

Dinner with ‘Casual’ Bunk and wife.
I guess Bunk is cool with Mike, though maybe I expected more of a hard time scenario, cause, why not?
And there it is… a secret withheld by Rachel from Mike.

Damn, Huntley… what are you doing?
Harvey ain’t having none of that.

Jessica is back from her ‘day off’ from the office.
Plan is in motion to deal with Gianopolous… with Jessica to deal with Ava.
The convo between Jessica and Ava was interesting because of the scenario that has happened with Ava (ousting) and the scenario that could happen with Jessica (coup).

Couple fight… What now, Rachel?

Huntley, Donna still likes you.
Prospects of long-term stuffs, now?

Louis… you really like that cat, despite Nigel stuffs, lol.

Harvey now has one over on Evil Birdman.

Stenton situation has been dealt with, via pressure on the wife.
Now if Rachel were pressured, would she give up Mike?
The line Rachel said to the wife was pretty choice as Mike felt it’s meaning.

Really, Jessica… You gonna present ‘that’ to Harvey?
The chess analogy is spot on: gesture or move
Things are becoming quite interesting, especially after that moment between Harvey and Jessica.

Ooh… The preview for the flashback episode next week looks good.
Harvey, Donna, and Evil Birdman in the past? I don’t even care about the Mike stuffs, lol.
More insight on the Harvey/Donna relationship, perhap
Maybe even get some hints on the can opener ‘ritual’ as well, lol.

I’m starting to see Katrina’s purpose in the story now. If Rachel gets into Stanford and they both plan to be together/ put their relationship on hold, Mike is probably going to end up having some late night research sessions with temptress Katrina, y’know, to solve some random case and stuff.

**Mike: **“I-I can’t do this, Rachel and I still…”

Katrina: “You want it one way, when it’s the other way.”

Considering the fact that like Mike said, absolutely no one has figured it out without being told first, he’s not that much of a liability. Especially considering his potential. Jessica could’ve easily let him get fired or walk away, but she didn’t because fraud or not, she sees the potential in him. Now the irony is that Mike is likely going to help take her down but still.

There’s no way he’s going to be written out of the show when he’s the main character, moreso than Harvey. That would be moronic. The only time he shouldn’t be involved is when they’re doing the flashback episodes. As for him using his talents in other ways, what other ways? Being a lawyer was what he wanted to do since day 1, the only thing that stopped him was asshole Trevor’s influence on him. Though the irony of that is if he took the legit path to being a lawyer, Harvey would’ve never picked him as his personal associate.

I mean, Mike being a fraud isn’t even the main part of his character anymore. It’s only really being brought up by Rachel since she’s new to it. Other than her, the whole Mike being a fraud thing has been moved past.

So Harvey used to get them guts. But my question is what do they still do with the whip cream??? Jessica’s face when Harvey told her he was preforming a coup was priceless.

Another awesome episode. Suits has turned into must watch tv for me. Donna so hot. Preview for next episode looked great as well.

Ah, so they did get it in. No shocker, but at least it’s nice to know.

And…BETRAYAL!

10 years ago - Harvey

The meeting between Harvey and Donna… She showcases her ‘profiling’ ability.
Donna is right about one thing: If someone were to have her, you would probably not want to share her. At all.

Birdman before ‘evil’ status. Seems upright, so far.
Hmm… I like his impression of Connery.

Birdman stay planning a future for Harvey.
Jessica stay planning her future at the firm.
Now we see why/how Harvey chooses his future.

So that’s Harvey’s father, Gordon. Not what I expected, but relatively surprised.
Harvey has a brother as well, named Marcus.
The scene with father and son is a bit bittersweet, considering a certain future event in a past season.

‘Evil’ Birdman status confirmed with the attitude and the (habitual) line-stepping, via assist from Donna.
Harvey is like: "I’m out."
Apparently, so is Donna.

Harvey and Donna indeed had a ‘thing’. Good shit. I marked out here, lol.
Donna and whipped cream sounds good together.
The ritual evolved from something with whipped cream to something with a can opener?

Damn, Louis… Owned back then as well by Donna’s Rain Man stuffs, lol.
Elevator ride convo was lolz.

10 years ago - Mike

Mike actually was accepted to Harvard, but where did it all go wrong?
The ‘anchor’ knows… and likely was the cause of Mike’s alternate path to his current status.

Anchor is just bad all around: cockblock at the party, poker game stuffs (situation with the jackass aside), the answer/test stuffs.
Jackass played Mike, but what was Mike gonna do about it?
Still, though. The read that Mike had at the poker game was pretty solid, all things considered.

Omar was kinda lolz.
Made me think of Seth Green for some reason.

Damn, Anchor picked up… for the wrong thing.
The Dean stay mad cause of his daughter’s mishap: “If I go down, you coming with me.”

Kinda sad to see granny, as well.

Present day

‘Casual’ Rachel is pretty hot.

Oh, shit… the sign at the office came to pass.
Louis… take the day off.

Evil Birdman is like: "Whatever. Here’s a deal."
Mike’s mention of the Tom Selleck remark to Evil Birdman made me lol.

Huntley in the doghouse with Harvey, tries to get Mike to be the go-between/voice of reason.

Nice scene with Harvey and Donna at the diner, particularly the transition from the ‘past’ scene.

Ooohhh, shit.
Harvey done told Jessica about his plan, channeling what she did in the past.
She stay mad.

It looks like Mike is gonna tell Rachel about his almost entry into Harvard stuffs.
On one side, Rachel is probably cool with it because Mike is being honest with her.
OTOH, her ‘bitchy’ side is probably thinking otherwise, considering Mike’s faux credentials.
Could this scenario have some significance later on in the future?

Mike to Evil Birdman: "You got nothing."
Evil Birdman to Mike: "I got something, thanks to Huntley."
WTF…

rachel about to be mad jelly
mike bossed up and took that loss because he knew with his brain he could do anything he wants in life, but his friend needs this.
lol at old school harvey basically being mike
lol at some of you who thought harvey and d never fucked. cmon son

the one line from donna that gave me a boner, “if you were ever lucky enough to have me, you wouldnt wanna share”. you are correct mam. lol

jessica stay mad. shorty is gonna have a heart attack soon. lol
also never trust the british. haha

great episode. NOW THIS IS TV.

Young Harvey being like Mike was my favorite part of this ep.

Jessica look upon hearing the betrayal almost made me pity her… almost. Harvey is just following her philosophy after all.

Mike being accepted to Harvard prior made sense, it sucks he had to take such a weak route for the sake of that asshole “friend” of his.

I also liked the burgeoning relationship between Donna and Harvey. Donna is definitely with Brit guy because of his “Harveyness”.

This was a very enlightening episode. I agree, that Harvey’s Mike-ness really sold the ep for me. It speaks volumes about why Harvey is so protective of the guy. Evil Birdman still being evil even way back, and Jessica essentially teaching Harvey how to betray her were high points.

Watching Mike essentially fuck up his life for that douche Trevor… The term “anchor” has never been more appropriate, even if did lead to events playing out in Mike’s favor, this dude ruined his life and has never even shown a hint of remorse… Needs his ass beat.

Also LOL @ anyone who didn’t think Harvey smashed Donna back in the day. NO MAN, no matter how focused, could possibly resist for as long as they’ve known each other. Character development out the ass, and Stephen is about learn what the Wrath of Harvey is all about come next week.

Well let’s think about this. If Mike DID go to Harvard, he probably doesn’t end up as Harvey’s personal associate. So in essence he’d be a worse lawyer.

he might be a worse lawyer…but not by too much. That photographic memory allows him time to learn other aspects of lawyering that someone else might have to divide the time to learn besides having to remember all the basic lawyer stuff. he still is a step ahead of the game no matter what.

its also pretty clear the former president of harvard is gonna take mike down at some point. they just put the most obvious kryptonite in history.

The former president of Harvard wouldn’t care. The president of the other college is the one on his ass.

meant him

…I didn’t expect THAT plot twist…

Harvey’s a man of his word, lol. Stephen’s a magnificent bastard.

These damn mofos got me on the edge of my seat wondering who will win custody of a damn cat…

It’s nice to see that Louis got his associates back. He did make them better lawyers.

But anyway…looks like another war is upon us because there’s no freaking way Jessica is letting Darby stay in the house if he’s pulling shit like this.

Stephen fucked his bitch, ordered a hit and fucked up his case. Talk about a classic fucking villain.
