I like both. My favorite is from KoF2002 UM match with a kyo players running it back against King/k’/Kasumi starting with 0 meter. Nothing esle really compares to that for me.

It’s probably easier for a lot of people to relate and favor Combofiend vs Marn since a lot more people are playing Marvel 3 and it’s viewed more through streams and YouTube videos.
Considering Marvel 3’s high damage, plus XF, it’s not like Combo was ever that far behind in the first place.

Well the thing is Combofiend was already ahead in the set. Marn hadn’t even won a match. It’s just Combofiend was down 2 characters while Marn had 2 left.
Although I will say it was pretty hype because Combofiend’s Spencer almost didn’t use XF at all to make that comeback. Zero only had like half his life left any way when he got hit by XF3 Spencer and Combofiend’s XF burnt out by the time he had to kill off Sentinel. Combofiend almost didn’t use XF at all really if you account what went down.

The streets clearly haven’t seen Ray Ray’s 2 non-xfactor Sentinel comebacks in the same tournament. IMO way more hype than any other MvC3 comeback thus far.

It was hype at the moment, but in retrospect Marn made a ton of mistakes.
Justin’s was better, Daigo’s was better.
As for Mvc3 comebacks go, I think Justin had a better one than combofiends in that game too.

I can think of about 15 comebacks I’d place over Combo vs Marn for free.
I chalk all the hype for this moment up to a combination of Combofiend fandom + Bionic Arm becoming a meme + the actual comeback, which was pretty good.
It still wasn’t THAT crazy, though. People act like it was going to decide the set or something, but it was really just Marn’s chance to not be super free. Marn was getting bodied up to that point. If he had finished his combo, it would have been 2-1 and he would have lost the next game convincingly. So w/e
