Well something we can agree on. But the agreement stops there. I have more than enough smarts to learn what you are saying. I have enough smarts to become a doctor or lawyer if I wanted to… as do most people.
What I don’t necessarily have is the time or patience or want to learn those things. I know things I want to know.
Outside of getting mbaac on my computer or something of that nature I couldn’t care less about computer literacy.
I don’t walk around and think to myself “if only I knew what a proxy server was” or “what the fuck does DNS stand for”
These things are largely useless to me. I’m not about to learn a new language so I can write “hi nice to meet you” in Swahili
I’d rather just get someone from Swahili to translate for me so I don’t have to learn the entire language to say one sentence.
That I don’t know much about. That’s not really as obvious (to me at least with my knowledge) as all of the web request stuff. I’ve done very little game programming as far as frame rates and stuff go. I do know what that one guy talked about as to everything happening in the “paint” function, but the gaming program I’ve done is just using Cocos2D and Unity3D, and the stuff I did was just setting a flag to force it to run at 60fps and the engine handled the rest. I didn’t have to worry about optimization because it wasn’t resource intense.
I did find it LOL worth though still in that video of the sped up load times, that you saw 2 fucking load masks on the loading screen still (the grid and the circle one).
I’m also on PS4 so the patch won’t help me out at all. If I was on PC I’d grab it. I will say though, in that video, they used the Grid as the example, and I’ve noticed since I set the grid to my default stage, and even when picking it a lot in battle lounge, that load times seem to be a lot faster since that stage has like no data with it.
Couple other troubles can come into play… such as your account not having all the rights to open applications. Right click run as administration. There are ways to make it run without some hassles, such as Add Take Ownership Option in Context Menu in newer Windows (either from 7 or 8, and up from that).
It shouldn’t be hard, but yeah most of the time both google and some sort of chat helps cover the answers.
yeah file extraction is as easy as double clicking on the file you want to extract, then selecting the folder you want to extract to, then clicking “extract”
I don’t understand how it works either. you don’t have to understand it.
I tested it with other stages as well and while not as spectacular as with the training stage it still does load significantly faster even on my crappy PC.
I hope it will catch on amongst PC players, which will make at least matches between us much faster.
Grew up without one. I was out of highschool by the time we had one in the house, and i was out of my parents house by the time i could use one regularly
Me and Dime in the same age group. Thats just how the shit went if you didnt have tech savy parents.
Holy shit is this 43 GB sized patch taking forever. I just want to play this damned tutorial mode already. Lord Boon, is this another one of your divine tests of faith? I really don’t want to boot up SFV right now, for some reason I keep getting paired up with people who lag it up.
