Gold is definitely a low rank in SFV. Only around Plat you start finding some people who aren’t on autopilot.
Then again, LTG is like Super Plat, so it still doesn’t mean much.
In SFV it’s less about who has the better connection, but more of who is “behind” in terms of time to determine who will get the best result (or to achieve fair experience on both sides, both players are in sync… might require luck for some users). If you’re ahead of the game’s time compared to the opponent, you will experience rollback. If you’re behind, you won’t experience much rollback. Too many variables are at play (system’s background processing, a PC’s setup, the sending/receiving of data, etc.)
You can’t really say that a bad result of the match is because the opponent has trash internet. Your internet might be sending/receiving stuff really well that’s deemed “too good” to the point that the opponent’s experience might be better. Your PC build might be top notch, but if the opponent has a PC build that might be just decent, the person with the decent PC build could have a better experience because he’s not “ahead”.
Again, too many variables… but that’s all thanks to SFV not syncing the gameplay properly online.
Funny thing, turned on PC to play some games and couldnt decide if i should play Resident Evil 7 or SFV ranked mode. Realised that they are equaly stressful for me.
Playing Cammy almost doesn’t need to be explained (especially for a Fang player)
Good mid ranged normals are s.HP, c.HP, s.MK, c.MK. As you get in closer use s.LK and s.MP for frame trapping.
Just use V Skill when people are being too passive to get plus on block and build some V Gauge. Can also use it ambiguously if the opponent doesn’t tech to cross them up on wake up. Can’t abuse it though because long start up makes it easy to stuff with a jab and people will eventually just v reversal even if they block it.
I’ve always pictured Yorkey as that weird (white) fangirl you knew back in college or see at comic/anime conventions. The kind that would wear a Naruto headband as an accessory and use the word “muggle” unironically.
My laptop is not amazing (although I’m on steady 60fps and almost always play on the lightest stages), but I have a 1gb/60mb fiber connection. The fact is that the person who’s on the bad end of lag is totally random. I never changed my PC since SFV was released and I only changed my connection a few months ago, but depending on how the last server maintenance went the same people that ALL gave me one-sided lag before could ALL start getting one-sided lag instead and vice versa.
Also, connection with some people will always be amazing no matter our setup or how far they are for me, while with some other people it will always be bad for one of us. Go figure.
It’s a giant question mark… but same situation here. Someone could be many miles away from me up north, and our experience was absolutely perfect (we both were PC users). Meanwhile, playing someone near me at Louisiana or even at Mississippi, it plays the “20 seconds and then rollback” card. Even in my own place from the PSN+ trial, I could see the PC was loading/getting into the game ahead against the PS4 (the voice announcer and attacks were off-sync along with visuals), and, lo and behold, the same one-sided rollback kicks in.
