She was behind you when she hit with the j.mk (and I mean the animation as well not just another centerpoint oddity). She just ended up in front of you after it hit. Maybe you’re just blind to the whole situation?
You’re just whining about something you think shouldn’t be a thing when there’s nothing wrong with what’s going on here (at best the fact she lands in front of you afterwards is a bit weird, but that only happens on hit anyway). Pick better things to complain about, you have plenty with how badly Capcom screwed up the online.
But WHY does that happen? Why is there a move in this game that has your opponent jumping in the air, then on the same side as you, then on the back side of you, then on the same side as you, all while in the air in the same trajectory? It doesn’t make sense with the mechanics of the game. Stop acting like this shit is a common “thing” in this game.
Apparently now discussions on mechanics = whining.
Not even going back to Laura makes this game fun. Also people who talk to you in between rounds are fucking annoying.
Balrog takes 0 skill. Bitch all you want about Laura but you still need to know what you’re doing. Between him, Laura and Urien. He’s by far the most stupid.
I think it’s a momentum thing. Her command jump slows down as she moves so she’s almost completely stopped by the time she’s crossed over you. I guess the game plants her in front in a cross-up situation (after she hits you and starts descending anyway) if her forward movement is close to zero. Which is why it doesn’t really happen with other characters, particular in common forward jump scenarios.
Never said it’s a common thing, I just didn’t get what the “problem” was. I have a hard time viewing things from other peoples’ perspectives.
…I must apologize for the way I was responding. The initial reaction you had to the situation just made it seem that way to me. I…tend to jump on people who sound like they’re whining like Twinblades.
Let’s just say it’s my personal trigger, I’ve seen too many cases of people whining about stuff that hampers their progress (not specifically from this thread) and I hate seeing that, even if in situations like this that’s not what’s going on.
That’s true idk not really sure what I want anymore Lol at this point I’m just considering picking up ibuki, having some type of mixup would probably make me enjoy playing more lol
So many Asian qualifiers, only 2 qualifiers in latin america which has always been a big region for KoF, the Mexico City qualifier was announced as a qualifier 24 hours before the tournament started, and it was at a convention that has always been shit, so noone had time to schedule their trips or actually want to go there since the event is ass, and on top of that a big KoF tournament happened at that same weekend, so a comparatively weak player (Cipher) ended up getting the spot over the likes of Bala, Kusanagi, Violent Kain, Kanibalito, etc… .
Then they throw out a lot of invites, some of them are good like Frionel who has been a historically strong player, but some of them are super weird like Alioune and KBR (KBR in particular), inviting KBR but not even having a chilean qualifier for someone like Misterio to get in is so fucking weird.
Making the first round ft.1 is dumb on so many levels. I really don’t know what was their idea behind this tournament.
@purbeast I haven’t had any problems in casuals like you have described. Also, remember when our battle lounge connection was jacked? Yet you just played with someone else even closer to you, and it was still jacked?
Could it, you know, possibly be your internet connection?
…there’s a fine line between adding combo variety and going full Marvel.
I actually don’t mind the short and sweet combos in this game (even if the inner SF x TK player would like more), it’s just a lot of the stuff outside of that that could use some work.
