the neutral feels more committal for a bunch of various reasons including but not limited to:

Shoddy AA’s
Unsafe on block wiff punishers (like sweeps)
Jumps are faster in general
Pokes have less range
General input delay
Pokes have more recovery
Pokes no longer do much damage since most don’t lead to anything (sweeps don’t give hard knockdown, most pokes don’t cancel into safe on block specials that actually combo but don’t put your character in a bad spot on block)

Those are largely the reasons why the neutral feels more committal. Because in general you have to commit much more to get anything done at neutral.

You can’t like play ryu and win off of cr.mk xx fireball or play ibuki and win off of cr.mp xx neck breaker wiff buffer. Etc etc

Outside of the occasional rollback that’s caused by some stages I believe, the game is running pretty good.

Our one true Steel/Flying type Pokemon, Celesteela. Coming in at around 30ft.

What the fuck are the Pokémon devs smoking right now

Pokemon designs have gone off the rails after gold/silver.

I’m glad I stopped there.

Black & White was probably the best thing that ever happened to pokemon after Gold & Silver. X&Y that came out afterwards was a very good entry too, adding loads of content and making the big migration to 3d. No idea about the latest Sun & Moon as by that point I was a kind of burnt out and doubted we will get another Black & White anytime soon.

Really if you stopped at Gold and Silver that’s a pretty good high note to go off on.

If by Black and White you mean BW1, you’re flat out wrong, cause 2 was straight up an improvement. (I miss challenge mode.)
Also, Platinum was the peak of the series, competitive and in-game wise.

GS had Stadium 2 though, so it gets best home console pokémon game.

Back to SFV though, new characters drop around what time? I know Kolin’s dropping on the 28th, but will it be like, midnight or some crazy time like that?

I like that all sweeps CC, but I don’t like them all giving the same punish in a HKD. I think it would be cool if we had variety like:

1. Single high damage hit with regular KD.
2. Modest OTG (like Urien throw/aegis shit)
3. Regular crumple/spin CC
4. HKD
