been playing birdie again a bitā¦and i gotta say. Why does Ken do more damage than birdie, has faster normals, and outranges birdie and only has 50 health less than Birdie, and gets a proper ireversal? Is having some kind of command grab suppose to balance this out? Balance update canāt come soon enough.
Random Bullhead does not do half health compared to any of Kenās bnbs . If youāre talking about V-trigger punish? Then does Ken not do half health to Cammy with one as well? And have frame advantage after every one of his bnb? So you get hit by a MPMPheadā¦so what? Back to neutral where Birdie has to work again. And Birdie is free to Cammy rush, while Ken is not.
I dunno I get why people want FT3 I just think if you want a hype tourney, making the first few rounds FT2 is way better for underdogs. Thatās why I donāt get F Champ complaining playing Dhalsim.
Hereās why - Lets say F champ beats Daigo in the first match of a FT2 - the dynamics have changed instantly, F Champ is now only one match away from the next round, Daigo HAS to win next. If F Champ is smart he can change his play style up a bit and put the tension onto Daigo.
Now flip that to a FT3, nobody cares, heās still gotta win 2 more a Daigo just got a free read on his habits and is now prolly going to destroy him 3-1.
This is also true for characters that can go Ham. Why not just gamble with Mika or Ken mix ups in the first match of a FT3? Play like a tard, youāll probably win and if not itās a freebie.
All FT3 achieves is all the solid top players in winners and the underdogs in losers. Not everytime, but you get my meaning.
I donāt like FT3 because it makes the set lower damage and Iām against lower damage. Iām in favor of more bursts damage and reads actually meaning something and mistakes meaning something rather than the entire game coming down to a war of attrition where the single greatest advantage is making low damage reads consistently.
Daigo and Tokido (and Kuroda) showed today that the Guile matchup is not favorable for Ryu and they attribute it to the VS.
With all three playing against each the top 3 Japanese Guiles only Daigo managed to win a FT2 against Esta after going 0-5 against him last week
The only ānewā tech they came up with was using the tatsu as a read against booms and trying to gain VT and CA to neutralize the boom threat. Tokido mentioned he forgot to use the VR against sonic cross mixups too
Wonder what Tokido will do in his 1st round matchup with Du. Will he have some secret tech (unlikely) or will he use a counter pick
Beating a TT doesnāt make you a TT. Guile is currently 8th at EH, which is not absurd imo. I think 9th or 10th are more realistic spots though, Mika is above him for sure and maybe Urien too.
8 sounds about right. Chun, Ken, Cammy, Necalli, Ryu, Mika, Nash and Karin are probably better overall. Itās just one of those matchups that take away Ryuās neutral and force Ryu to take risks with jump ins and lots of sweeps
The drought is nothing new and isnāt isolated to just Georgia. The wildfire is meh, not sure where it is but until it hits the Atlanta metro it isnt really a concern. Water restrictions really only matter in the spring and summer
I want ft3 mainly because it will give a bigger chance for the better player to win, it also gives players room to change up their playstyle more and imho will make for a more interesting meta later on in the matches.
Lastly as a simple fan of SF i want to watch more matches and only seeing a player get 2 matches for something they worked an entire year for isā¦dissapointing, to say the least.
