Naw almost every tourney now has the colors unlocked except for maybe 11-15. But you can get at least 11-12 because I’m sure the “unlockers” do the trials which are easy as fuck.
I even see people in tournaments do that autistic thing where in character select they scroll through all the colors before going back to default.
Hell maybe I’m the autist cuz that shit grates on me.
if he wants to start doing guess early jump hk or w/e to stop it cool, but thats a hard read, and if you just stay grounded then he gets popped. Air to airing also mitigates some risk as you don’t eat a full combo. If they do hit you with an early button, if you land second you can just jump os > V-reversal if you block something and it’s nbd.
I think it’s slight edge Vega, but it’s hard to play correctly and you can lose on 1-2 bad decisions pretty easily.
Vega anti air is better than a lot of characters just cause you get to choose where you are on screen though. If i’m fighting Ryu for instance, I get to jump at him WAY more than he gets to jump at me.
Vega is a bad character though, I just don’t think thats the reason. The inability to sustain momentum without using EX bar on top of no reversal+worst v-reversal is a way bigger factor in him being trash.
Is this the ken with low profile air tatsu and ex air tatsu/almost divekick we are talking about? Vega j.mk doesnt even have a hitbox on vega shoes lol his hitboxes are horrible
I won’t disagree that j.mk is Vegas best anti air but its a construct of pure reaction(vs say, waiting on the cr.hp gives your brain much more breathing room) and can’t always be relied on especially when pressure gets high as a split second too slow and you get slapped down hard.
No I’m not talking about hitting any buttons at all. I’m talking about the fact that no matter how you time the EX Tatsu it can not hit a crouching Vega unless you started your jump from beyond half a screen away. I’m not even joking, Vega can literally sit there and watch it sail over his head.
Or you can punish it if I whiff it…for a full combo. And actually Vega has two punishes on block in claw off stance depending on the distance. If it was really badly spaced s.LP > c.MP > Whatever works, but also c.LP > LK Roll combos from further away. These punishes only work in claw off mode however. In claw on the punishes don’t work from as far away or as reliably.
Whiffing a s.HK is literally one of the worst things you can do in the match up because it gives Vega a huge punish and is pretty easy to react to. In comparison whiffing crouching buttons isn’t nearly as bad because Vega can’t get as much damage off of it.
Which is one of the biggest reasons I tell Vega players to take the claw off against Ken. If you have the claw on Ken has so many more options in the neutral game and also the claw on buttons are easier to counter poke. If I see a Vega use the claw I will abuse s.HK because I know I won’t get punished as bad, but claw off is a different story.
So, guys, after Canada Cup and LATAM Regional Finals - this is how the Capcom Cup roster looks so far
This means that Birdie, Juri, Urien, and Zangief are the only 4 characters currently NOT in Capcom Cup at all. Depending on how the remaining Regional Finals in North America and Asia pan out, we may get a Birdie, a Rashid, or an addition to one of the currently represented chars. That is, of course, if we count in the pocket characters.
If you exclude those - then Ibuki, Rashid and Balrog are also not present
Ruby Heart please… I just gotta spam Combofiends Twitter about Ruby Heart, then it will get into his subconcious, and then he’ll think of it her when they’re brainstorming up a roster.
