The Street Fighter V Lounge: Tron Bonne rumored as DLC

ggs @MarLonLonMilk

I like your Juri. Nice anti-air and throw game, good punishes. And I learned tonight that I need to get better at tech’ing throws, thanks for that lol.

ggs and thanks.

I really like your confirms. Taught me that I’m all predictive play and no reactions lmao. You were reacting to me walking forward, whiffing a fireball store(admittedly, though, you have time to take a shit and then whiff punish this), dashing etc… The only times I stuffed your dashes was when I thought you’d do it. Otherwise, nah. I think you actually landed a double dash throw at one point.

Hits close to home

I know it’s been around forever. Gief had his short hop on sf4 etc and lots of characters have movement bugs via things like chuns st.hp done as fast as possible as opposed to when it’s allowed to fully recover.

But this is kinda different. Jab/attack doesn’t cancel the dash at all. Only down/down back.

Id call this sort of tech a bug even if it’s been in forever, unless it’s… Intended and it doesn’t seem like it specifically is.

Chun is an early sf5 character and she has lots of animation cancels all over the place, but urien the newest character, save for the dash, doesn’t have any on any of his normals that I can find.

Shows a certain level of polish is being put into the newer characters.

hi

Oh you’re still alive

Can someone tell me what the newest daily sounds like in English? Tired with shitty translations.

Land a Crush Counter 10 times.

Also, I’m back down to Ultra Bronze super hard. Though I’m actually happy about it. Lost 6-0 to a god tier FANG with a 20+ win streak. Since he was only level 9, I made an educated guess it was a new account for a really, really good player. It was just so much fun to get bodied by all these fucked up slide cloud cross-up bullshit set-ups where he would always be out of reach of my buttons. Almost made me want to pick up FANG again, though I know I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do half the insane stuff this guy did zipping across the screen.

And since I’d accomplished my goal of proving I was not the worst player of all time, but simply not very good, I figured this was as good a time as any to play around with Gief some more, because Gief really grows on you. I’ve been able to hang around in Ultra Bronze with him, so obviously my Gief isn’t as far behind my Bison as I thought, which is a really nice thought. Maybe I’ve actually become gasp better at Street Fighter in general? Or I just got lucky. Whatever, Gief is fun, even against Nash. Watching him panic when you finally have him in the corner and/or are sitting on V-Trigger is so much fun.

…Holy shit, I would’ve NEVER imagined that through the French translation, which in English would rather sound like “counter break”.

Pas d’argent pour le francais!

haha yeah I am french too and I was like “what the fuck is this ?”.

jumping into ranked/casual…yeah…netcode is still garbage.
should step back to lobbies.

crapcom…even nr is better these days, which is a fucking joke.
but at least we get offered some overpriced costume dlc…yeah…

tekken7 you cant come soon enough.

Could be smurf account because they enjoy bodying plebs

I told you I can help you train 1 on 1 to body @Twinblades

Netcode is fine, yours or your opponent’s connections are much more likely to be the issue.

sorry, but no.
the netcode in comparison to sg and mkxl on pc is garbage!
i never played ki but from what i heard its much better too.

when you compare it with all the other older fighting games with delay based netcode its okayish…but for sure not fine.
add to that the broken matchmaking system which gives you “5” bar matches with people from the other side of the world…yeah…of course it doesnt pan out well…

Also, is Vega’s super just fucked? I know it’s supposed to be 330 damage, but the scaling on that thing must be completely fucked because it never fucking kills. It’s Alex tier. I never used to feel bad for Vega players until I saw how little damage that motherfucker deals, even with the claw change cancels and whatnot.

It’s not the scaling, it’s that most Vega combos start from lights or only use one medium in the combo, and Alex’s combos into super tend to be jab confirms generally including one medium button also. People look at Ryu’s or Karin’s super combos which frequently start from heavies and/or incorporate medium into mediums which naturally result in higher damage confirms and get a skewed idea of how much damage their supers really do.

It’s not the super damage that’s the problem, it’s the confirm preceding the super.

I think the fake “5” bar matchmaking is a necessary evil because people were complaining about the match making being slow earlier.

I was really impressed with Xyzzy overall, dude was whiff punishing everything!

Birdie is not a bad character at all.
