Iād like there to eventually be a sort of āultra doubleā system for VT, where you can pick multiple VT at the cost of lower damage. Hopefully they take the obvious step of giving characters more than one VT option
At the time I didnāt know them as hit boxes, but yeah I liked how Fei Long had very distinct Bruce Lee like animations with his s.hp with the extended fist and other fist clenched over his head. You just didnāt get that from MK normals. They pretty much motion captured them all doing the same generic punches and kicks for each character. Other than specials Jax and Sub Zero fought basically the same even on an aesthetic level.
The animations and martial arts styles were just more involved in SF. MK just made me feel like I was controlling generic martial artists in different garbs.
Tfw Windalfr has been asking for games for quite some time and you canāt play because youāre not home. All while everyone else is arguing about games they donāt play instead of playing a game that they do play.
I dunno, I like animation of all varieties, and MK has itās own unique animation at that.
I like how stiff and fast they move when swinging, reminds me of bad ass super heroes fighting, or better yet, reminds me of how they fight in the matrix. (especially the blocking sounds) So in a way, thereās beauty/genius in lack of realism and "proper animations? " Am I too deep to understand? Kind of confusing.
^ That reason above is exactly why I loved that NRS was chosen to make the Injustice series, cause it makes sense, thatās their ball park. Maybe real animators understand what iām saying, not over entitled people who are experts on subject. lol (not directing at ANY of you)
I donāt like VR and VT tied to the same resource system either. Itās just not fun having to give up your V-trigger for the sake of a generic defensive option. Keyword there being FUN.
Obviously they would have to make major balance changes to accomodate, but I would much prefer if VT was something you built up with V-skill and CCs***, and have VR as a separate meter that fills when you take damage (like Burst in ArcSys games). Fix all the underwhelming V-skills/VTs and suddenly you have a very cool system where each characterās V-system is actually a core part of their gameplay, but takes more work to build up than the current system (where most characters build 90% of their V-gauge from getting hit).
It would also add diversity to each characterās gameplan, because it creates a choice between ādo I prioritize building V-triggerā or ādo I prioritize ending the round NOW?ā
***actually, I wouldnāt mind if AAs built up V meter as well. Itās a nice way to make them more rewarding across the board.
