I only like Capcom and SNK games, other games just aren’t fun for me anymore. Anime fighters are fun to watch, and I do want to get into them one day, but it’s complicated playing them on PC for release reasons.

I tried DOA5LR when it launched on Steam, it surprised me with it’s godlike amount of content, modes, graphics, gameplay, soundtrack, and more. It’s a good game, just not for me.

I’ll give Tekken 7 a shot next year (due to Tekken 3 nostalgia as a child) if I can’t get into that, then it’s official, 3D fighters aren’t for me.

MK X is cool to watch, but boring to play for me.

On another note that isn’t useless bickering - characters without reversals feel more interesting to play with. You’re forced into defending against options you could otherwise retaliate to. I like that.

You are 100% correct, what I’m requesting isn’t rational. But there is a lot of irrational shit in this game, I would love if a character I enjoyed had some bullshit.

I mean bison literally becomes a worse character in v trigger. How is that even possible?

Yeah I was never a big MK person other than the first 2. Even when I was a kid I didn’t like how all of the characters normals looked the same and had similar hit boxes. When i played SF I liked how each characters normals made you feel like you were playing a different character.

The newer games still don’t do much for me. Just don’t like the mechanics or the super dark aesthetic.

People cared about hitboxes as kids? I had UMK3, and I liked playing Sektor because his missile was really easy to do, and I would get to Motaro, lose and stop playing. My sister would beat Shao Kahn because she played Noob Saibot, and his cloud worked on him. But I thought she was really good, because she could beat Motaro.
I also played MvC and MSHvsSF with friends and most of us played Ryu or Megaman to do some fireball war on turbo mode or whatever, where you did fireball with one button. The most development we got was spamming Omega Red’s super, and one friend discoreved Dhalsim’s normals.
Sometimes I regret not getting good as a kid.
EDIT: forgot about the times me and my friends played KOF97. We all played Choi. He was top tier for us.

I wouldn’t be opposed to tying reversal to ex meter but then I feel like they would have to add something else to VT to make up for it…I’m drawing a blank on what it could be though. I’ve floated the idea of a just guard system but nobody wants that apparently. Maybe they could let you do something like “meter trade mode” where you spend VT in order to gain ex meter faster. Just a thought…

Why do power ups need to have a tradeoff? The point of a power up is to make you more powerful.

Umm…so the game remains somewhat balanced. I’m all for spicing things up and adding some more bs, but something like Necalli having dead angle during his install rubs me the wrong way and isn’t the right way to go imho
