You are 100% correct, what I’m requesting isn’t rational. But there is a lot of irrational shit in this game, I would love if a character I enjoyed had some bullshit.

I mean bison literally becomes a worse character in v trigger. How is that even possible

I wouldn’t be opposed to tying reversal to ex meter but then I feel like they would have to add something else to VT to make up for it…I’m drawing a blank on what it could be though. I’ve floated the idea of a just guard system but nobody wants that apparently. Maybe they could let you do something like “meter trade mode” where you spend VT in order to gain ex meter faster. Just a thought…

I don’t want to reversal with ex meter. I like the fact that supers matter in this game. Tying other mechanics to the ex meter will make them less relevant. It’s not VT is worth using in every match-up.

Problem with the timer scams is the competitive community that was regularly on stream didn’t do their homework. Which lead to a long stream of stream footage where people weren’t optimizing combos and matches would time out regularly. Can’t blame people for not liking what they saw. Im sure the people who were truly grinding in the background were optimizing stuff, but you had top level sponsored players not optimizing stuff and that’s what the monsters saw.

Plus no one could decide whether to use gems or not to begin with. Meaning you saw 2 different versions of the game being played.

yeah i played Combofiend’s boy Dash in tournament, and I had a 2ish minute match. Had a 7-8 second round at one point, where i opened with a jump with hugo caught him, did clap > cr.mp xx ex lariat tag cancel, then b.mk mk(uncombo) with raven hiding the overhead, then killed him on the reset.

Capcom not clarifying the rules and not having dlc gems at tournaments was another factor. I just used meter gems to simplify between non gem+gem situations.
