The Street Fighter V Lounge - McRibs for the good, The Purge of 2016 for the bad

Does anyone remember Capcom Fighting Jam?

That’s what SFV reminds me of. Both games are incredibly shallow and are very dull/repetitive as a result of that.

Are you seriously implying that console games are made without computers?

So I’m in the UK and the game has been matching me up with 90% + American players now and has been for 3 days, it’s also taking upwards of 20 min to get a match now which hasn’t been the case for weeks.

Anyone else in Europe having this problem?

I’m just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and go with the game being rushed for CPT. Guess we’ll see how SF5 is a year from now.

Ive brought it up quite a few times here so its easy to remember.

I don’t think it was that bad of a game gameplay wise. Its just its production value was obviously pretty low and it had to compete with too many other titles that were already gaining people’s attention. Hard to wanna play that when you have 56 character marvel, 44 character cvs2 and SF3 which gave the world Daigo Parry at reach.

This is also why SFxT didn’t survive. Too many games from same company makes it easier to backburn a game. Theres nothing that can come out that will turn V into a CFJ or SFxT. Its already set to be the premier Capcom fighter like IV was.

Sometimes I think the only reason I only enjoy SFV is because I enjoy my character so much.

When I beat someone with Vega I feel like I truly outplayed them.

Oh man! I’m not an expert on them but DAMN! More hulking bad asses are always welcome.

Freakin stoked!

Thats how I got through a couple years of SFIV. Hated the game but C Viper was fun.

.

One thing fighting evolution has over SF5 is better training stage music.

We do not know what will happen. SF4 at EVO grew over the years and with SF5 starting out high it leaves me wondering if it will continue to grow next year or start to wane.

Imo its the best training stage music in a fighter.

If you really feel that way, then keep at it.

That’s true SFV most likely won’t have to compete with any other fighting game. The only way I could see Capcom making another fighting game is if Nintendo hires then to do Nintendo vs Capcom or something

I really want Revelator to release on PC sooner than later.

Ibuki couldn’t save SSFIV for me and that’s bae. I really, really hated that shit.

So how long we have to wait for the sfv hater club to go away? A full year?

You guys hanging out for story mode?

Input lag and whatever small fixes aren’t going to make the base game different.

Until Capcom fixes the game. I find it funny that again it seems to be Capcom fans or those that want to like SFV that’s the most spurned. There’s maybe a few bashers from other series, but that happens with all games from all sides.

They’re all fans to me. Unless you’re not posting I assume you like something about the game.

I can forgive not knowing Atrocitus, you have to be up on your GL lore for that, but not knowing Grodd is a SIN!

Exactly, it’s basically that you can sense that there is a solid game here, yet things like the discrepancies between different hardware, different peripherals and the game itself all causing various inconsistencies in button inputs is fundamental to how one attempts to approach this game.

I for one think overall SFV has the potential to be the best in the whole series. Time will tell if they fix what needs to be fixed.

Man, I enjoy the game.

Lack of content I could care less about. I only really play NRS story modes… meh. I shouldn’t have been charged 79.99 CAD though.

I have mostly had a decent online experience. That’ll vary I suppose. I also haven’t played ranked in a while but I understand the concern (points and shit).

8f. I’m not godlike enough to blame my losses on that yet… lol

I don’t understand the shimmy complaints. I’ve endured worse “metas”.

I can’t defend the game, but I like it.
