Yeah it’s basically a soft ban where your posts and ability to use features are limited. It’s like being O.Sagat in ST. It is considered dishonorable to use him for the heinous crimes he commits against half the cast, but can still be played.

A friend of mine just came over and we ended up playing SFxT for like three hours. Having long-range buttons that were punishable on whiff and anti-airs that do 30% damage was a nice change of pace from inconsistent, low-damage AAs and stubby buttons.
The fact that SFxT is as dead as the average Game of Thrones-character makes me sad. =(

You are FORCED to know how to perform a character’s special moves before being allowed to progress into combos. Then you gotta do simple combos to get to the advanced combos which also offers actual optimized, you-will-do-them-in-tournaments combos that you will not only want to learn but will NEED to learn in order to be good with that character.
