The Street Fighter V Lounge - McRibs for the good, The Purge of 2016 for the bad

Lets give Nash a wheelchair while we’re at it.

Being able to literally do the teleports behind u should be enough for Nash players

I don’t think we should nerf Nash, but him along with half a dozen others need to STFU and STFD right now. After the remaining roster is buffed to their levels by giving them more tools and variety, we can revisit buffing Nash in ANY way.

Chun has no meterless reversal and worse than average throw range.

So what you’re saying is…Juri needs to handicap herself to give chun a chance? C’mon…we all know Juri is at least on par without using FSE. She sandbagged the whole fight. It was clearly written all over her face.

Even non Juri-fans could see that.

Wow, there’s been some shit throughout last 2 days

That’s it as a scrub, move along O_O

You underestimate the power of the FSE. And Chun-Li for that matter. We also don’t know what Juri is capable of without her FSE, so we can’t deduce that she would be on par with Chun-Li. But we have seen what a fully powered Kikosho from Chun can do in the canon, which is more destructive than anything we’ve seen Juri do so far. And she did it au naturel.

Juri appears to be without her FSE in SF5, so we’ll see how well she fares.

Well seeing how chun couldn’t keep up with an near effortless FSE (though chun never went all out she wasn’t pulling her punches) I don’t have high expectations for chun vs juri overall.

Nah, the word supposed was just used because I don’t think anyone before has claimed that every character goes through this. I personally felt a list for each character wouldn’t be hard to make since most players of characters tend to list some type of pain they have with their character.I could make a list for every character right now really.

Ryu: Stubby buttons, heavy recovery on fireballs
Ken: Many negative on block moves
Cammy: Gets reset after landing throws, mix up is "limited"
Chun: Short throw range, short medium bnb confirm range (which is usually the truer case when some say her damage is low)
Nash: No reversal, poor walk speed, specials that are mostly useless other than booms and EX scythe
Bison: Poor AA, poor walk speed, no reversal, no overhead, options to open people up are predictable without V Trigger
Claw: Poor/picky AA, no reversal
Birdie: Big hurtbox, doesn’t have best confirms
Zangief: Don’t have to mention it
Dhalsim: Slow walk speed (although his new archetype doesn’t require good walk speed), no reversal, high maintenance due to execution errors being very unsafe and low health
Karin: poor AA other than burning meter, low health, V Trigger is gimmicky outside of confirms
Mika: Ok but not great footsies, limited anti projectile options, ok but not great AA, no reversal
Rashid: Gimmicky, low damage
Necalli: Stubby buttons
Laura: Shorter buttons, slower walk speed, no reversal, limited confirms without counter hit
Fang: a list of stuff although I do feel he has pretty good buttons
Alex: Poor frame advantage unless close, some say AA is good others say it’s not, main frame advantage tools whiffs on crouchers, no reversal
Guile: List of things including sub par normals compared to older games and high maintenance projectile game
Ibuki: Whatever Ibuki players are gonna complain about

Overheads I didn’t personally list since I don’t think overheads ever make or break a character in SF. Frame traps and good buttons usually offset needing a reversal.

Need I remind you Chun was distracted by the child whom she was prioritizing over the fight? And I’m not sure if this particular rival battle is cannon but when Chun and juri fought during SSF4 nobody ended up dead or in jail so I’m guessing they tied then.

Ryu’s fireballs are good - mainly the LP, they have better start up than Nash booms which makes them better for zoning. Nash’s booms are only good because of how he plays/designed, most of the time he will be out of range of a jump but still in range to start dash pressure.

Ryu’s EX fireball in V-trigger is the best single fireball I would think - 26 frames on screen (it’s a bullet) - hits twice, knocks down, can charge into unblockable on crush counter.

I agree with that. Nash has better anti projectile options, but as far as the strongest overall fireball as far as properties (especially if you count his V Trigger) Ryu has it.

So, here’s a random question. You know that various tabs in the ‘Fighter Profile’. Like the fighter stats, the little grid thing, etc., yes? Does anyone thing that that aspect of the game will be finished this year? Ever?

Poor guile

Same exact shit with Bison. Psycho axe and EX knee press are only +1 so they both force trades by jab mash. It is stupid.

I think they have so much other stuff to worry about that this type of thing will be ignored for a while. Doubt we’ll see it fixed until all 6 DLC characters are out.

Like in general, assuming Capcom actually commits to making SFV awesome and competitive with other fighting games (AKA hiring more staff and spending $$$$$), I think this game will be the game it was supposed to be by January 2018.

It’s disgusting. Even more when you realize that this could be Bison’s swan song in the mainline series and this is how they treat him.

They really fucked over some characters.

The player base on steam is starting to go back to what Ultra was a month before SFV came out.

						Avg.
Street Fighter V Last 30 Days	1,398.8
Ultra Street fighter IV January 2016	1,027.9

Anyone else stocking up on matches and light bulbs?

It will probably hover there until Capcom decide to relaunch the game, with maximum content, and offer a free to play dlc version for people who wanna try it out. Nothing else could possibly salvage this game in the mainstream IMO.

This × Infinity! A-FUCKING-MEN!!!
