Urien is dope but akuma does everything he does except better.

This is the life of a Ryu player right now - Bullshit! Dude gets meaties off EVERYTHING, his jump ins are super powerful and the DAMAGE, FUCK, Capcom is this a Joke?

#Capcom puts Akuma in game with even better Meaties, better damage, better jump ins, better throws, better EX moves, better juggles - but a little less health.

OMG Akuma! Such a cool character! Check his beard out, never seen such a well designed fighter since Muhammad Ali!!! I love playing him. Season 2 amazung.

Ryu was and is boring… akuma isn’t, not to me anyways.

Yeah point me to the character that can do above 300 from a hitconfirmable cr.mp for no meter without a v trigger pop or jumpin and ends in a non backrollable ground recovery.

  • after st. MK, but there are chances it will whiff and you will get punished
  • after st. HK
  • after L. Bolt
  • on wake-up after command grab, back throw, forward throw (trades) and H Bolt (trades). You have to be careful of the meaties of course.

I would advise against doing that after st. HP because the cancel window is pretty late and you might just end up eating an EX clap.

You’ve got a year on me so it’s expected. Give me a couple months or so if you stick to ryu. He’s still good btw, played a few, beat em but it wasn’t easy. He still hits like a truck for looking at you wrong. Not Laura damage or akuma damage… just ryu damage.

I tried playing Ryu yesterday and holly hell what did Capcom do to him.

He has legit been nerfed stronger than Mika did by a landslide. Nothing works with this character now, good luck getting this high damage with him. His throw is disgusting, i tried about 10 other characters and none of them have this freeze that happens after Ryu’s throws. You feeling like you are getting stuck there for ages after throwing them. He feels slow.

I just don’t know, he can’t be played as a solid character anymore cause he doesn’t have the tools to do so anymore and he doesn’t have the tools to play any form of rushdown anywhere in the screen.

Honestly, Ryu and Nash are so fucking garbage right now.

Is Akuma missing some frames on his moves or something

After playing for my first half an hour it’s pretty clear that they changed him in the same way that you would ask a 4 year old to adjust frame data. They’d smash on the keys and you’d get season 2 Ryu.

Totally putting aside wether they are good or bad. The changes feel forced, like the battle director went out for lunch and told the cleaners to finalise Ryus throw and the just changed a bunch of zeros to ones.

It all feels scrappy, cheap, rushed and unimaginative. Like nerf shit if you want, but don’t make the game look and feel fucked up in the process. Feels like I’m just missing a ton of animations or frames now, it’ll take a bit to get used to.

You can jump in late air tatsu super though, I bet it even avoids some AA options. yay for gimmicks.

akuma has bad animations and the netcode sucks yes.

Yeah I played 2 of them yesterday and his animations are clunky as shit and so is all of the hit stop or pausing between all of his hits.

Akumas animation looks fine to me… but I play on max specs so maybe that has something to do with it…
