So why is st.lp anti-air still beating every jump-in I tried? I mean I understand constantly jumping is a dumb idea, but I wanted to see if it beat everything Juri had - and it did.

Well. At one point in time he was the best US SF4 player. His Viper dominated a few tournaments.
I could see the same thing happen in SFV if he decides to attend more tournaments.
I know that he is a dick and nobody likes him (I don’t like his attitude either), but this guy has a specific crazy style which led to decent results in tournaments during the SF4 era.

He was. There was a time where he beat Justin consistently (and Justin was the second best). It didn’t last that long, but his Viper basically beat all the EG guys, who were the best US players before Nuckledu and Snake Eyez came.
He randomed some people out at some lower key tournaments with viper but that’s it. He’s luckier at flipping a coin than most but at no point was he ever best in NA that just laughable.
I mean he can’t even beat sonic fox guy whose played sf for 2 months without literally cheating and then fleeing the building.
He did good when no one knew what to do vs Viper. Even then he did good at tournaments that Latif didn’t attend and failed to adapt when people figured out that random burn kicks weren’t that scary if you could low profile them. Ricki and Wong dominated the year where he was strong to the point where people are scared of getting that match in GFs to this day, and Latif got fucking 2nd at EVO beating Daigo and poongko on the way there.
I ran into him in SF4, too, he really isn’t that scary once you figure out his plan.
Wolfkrone beats Justin a lot, but aside from that I haven’t seen him body Ed or Ricki much
