That’s two people + myself who have tested and found that if you have zero internet access (such as no wifi connections / ethernet unplugged) when you start PC version of SF5 it hangs at the white logo screen. This is not good. It means you require internet to start the game. Laptops will be screwed in many circumstances.
Played through Normal survival, figuring I wasn’t really connected anyway what with the lack of fight money (srsly, anyone else having this issue? It tells you you’re connected, but you get no fight money?). Holy crap, 25 stages of the same brain dead AI, then suddenly it picks up at Ryu. It’s the Blazblue CP Score Attack model. Enjoy the 15 minute slog through a sea of opponents who don’t block, ending with a Hakumen who button reads and will super counter you any time he has meter and you press a button. FUN.
I did scrape by though. Ryu nearly flattened me, went in with all my life came out with like 5%. Managed to lock him down in the corner with Mika’s mk, but had to take a risk to actually close the match out. Gief was a struggle too. I boosted my def for Bison, so he wasn’t so bad.
How far have you gotten? I’ve been working on frame data as well, finished Ken’s today.
Of course I’m missing the active frames right now but I got everything else I could.
I don’t mind checking through everyone but if you’ve already gone through the cast then there’s not much need for me to keep going. If you haven’t finished everyone perhaps I can go through the cast and you can help me get the active frames?
Weird. If you do HP Dp with Necalli in the corner and leave the stick neutral afterwards, the opponent can quickrise and get a crush counter on you before you fully recover. But if you block down back you’ll block it. What’s up with that?
I think that’s the point. If we look at the street fighter series , how far have we really come in comparison to other gaming genres?
We could literally wake up in the year 2001 and get handed a copy of SF5 and the only questions you’d ask are what the new Doctor Dre album sounds like and when is Baywatch on.
Then Morpheus would show you crysis 3 and your brain melts.
The transitional interrupt frames are still in a counterhit state. Technically you are still in the HP DP move script for those frames but you can cancel them with any action.
Not confirmed actually. I shut down SFV, disconnected my PC from the internet, restarted Steam in offline mode, started SFV and it told me that it couldn’t connect to the server and would start in offline mode. It then proceeded to the menu just fine.
