Nigga you owe me SG games from like two days ago…
UNICLR and DBF arent terrible.
They are fine most of the time, but when it is bad, is bad.
At least from my experience i get good matches on both games with people in mexico and usa east coast while i am in honduras
And as for samsho, is a mixed bag.
I am currently having decent matches with people on usa.
But other times is bad with the same people.
Still, i prefer to play those over SFV lol.
Now that I’m watching it in order, Saint Seiya is wild AF.
BTW, in the room i am right now, is Iroha only, select another one and you get kicked
Damn Perth, seems your birthday came early this year.
Saint Seiya is awesome dude.
It has that 80’s early 90’s cheese to it, but is very enjoyable.
It is/was huge in latin america, on par with DB/DBZ
To give you an idea.
Games that were not released on USA made it here dubbed with the voice cast of the series.
And technically we are getting the SRK summer games.
Sure not how I envisioned but its basically what Evo Online is going to be.
P.S. its pretty unfortunate that the Smash scene cant run any type of viable tournaments. At least I can go hop on other games. If you just play smash, you’re basically SOL. Maybe Brawhalla and Rivals will see a spike in play. That one free to play Smash game will probably get ressucitated.
Brwalhala is a nice game, i think it deserves more attention.
IIRC, they have an esports scene that has developed independently from both smash and the fgc.
How’s the matches go when everyone is playing with one hand?
Its pretty silly how all those games could have their own big ass community but they’ee all split up.
Rivals finally started making inroads in Smash tournaments last year. As in featured regularly as a game there. Combine all three and you’d end up eventually with a scene bigger than the FGC.
They threw some legit money into prize pools for Brawlhala iirc.
So is Evo gonna change the line up? MK 11 is in or is that a meme?
In another timeline, Riot released their FG first and Valorant later, and it ruled Evo On so completely that it was widely agreed that the FGC entered a new age…
With time ups, lol
TBH, i dont see riot ruling over the fgc as a positive.
Their game could bring new blood, and hopefully the competition will make the devs try harder to improve their network infrastructure.
But at the same time, i can already picture all the crap that the LOL community will bring, and how Riot will try to force its way to do as they want, trying to push their game as the only one and all of that.
why weren’t you watching it in order?
I don’t think the Riot fighter will rule over the FGC. People will appreciate the features but deep down most fgc heads want their legacy characters. I just hope they normalise the idea of great netcode, lobbies and player retention etc.
But who knows. Maybe its gonna be amazing.
Up to the 12 houses and Arles it’s dope, kinda falls apart slowly between Asgard and the seas sagas. I haven’t even touched the Hades saga after watching a few episodes.
on the UNICLR side you must be very lucky, because that thing is garbo.
Yeah, no shit. In 6 she’s not as strong as Mina, and still she was leagues more popular among tierwhores.
Iroha is the best of all words, it unites tierwhores, people who like fun gameplay and waifu trashlords.
The problem is how Riot does business.
They always try force their way, dont be surprised when they try to pull restrictions on TOs in order to make their game shine.
They will also try to sanitize the community by putting restrictions on players and how the events are done.
Just look at how they handle their league for LoL
Then you have the community behind LoL.
They are smash tier on how terrible they are.
As for player retention and lobbies.
I think that in the lobbies department fg devs dont really have much to learn from them.
I seriously think that the BB/GG/DBFZ/GBFVS lobbies are the best option right now.
Their only real limitation is that ASW for some reason doesnt implement invites.
But outside of that is the best out there, and should be the standard.
For the player retention, there isnt really much that they could make, since FGs as much as it pain us, arent popular with the general public.
And unlike others, i think that the issue is not barrier entry, but the fact that fgs lack that escapism for players to put the blame on others when they lose.
So, is very common that the frustration is either internalized on that the players wouldnt be good enough, or that it requires too much effort for little reward.
That be externalized that it is something wrong with the game therefore it sucks or the the opponents, so they are cheating, playing in a manner that isnt honorable, etc.
Probably.
The same happens with Samsho, so far is rare that i have bad matches, and remember, most of the time im playing against people on usa, mexico or other places.
Right now i am playing it testing Iroha, and most of my matches have been flawless, with only few hicups here and there at random times.
More than 2 hours and i have yet to have an unplayable match.
