Good old “Mash Fierce until you get Hands” Honda.

I don’t get why that’s a problem.
Meter management is easy, maybe it’s just my games.

But I’m kinda used to check the bars during fight quiet often and “think” into the situation.

Something I never fully got, while playing SF. I got a bar and could EX Arrow at the time and my opponents would mindlessly chuck plasma all the time, making it easy to just EX Arrow right into their face and go in.
You can see this in the matches with Shibiki here pretty good.
The moment Shibiki gets Meter or even CA, Daigo does less Sonic Booms and focuses more on spacing him out with button. He still chucks Booms but much more… controlled? More carefull.
If that would be good old standard online SF, Guile would still throwing nonstop Booms on 100 health, while Cammy sits in front of him with full CA stocked ready to end his life.

ST Honda is legitimately one of the dumbest characters I’ve ever seen in an FG. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another character with that many 8-2 and 2-8 MUs.

Oh you! I was surprised too. Thought there would be a lot less.

Only thing more surprising is that despite having the females outnumber the guys, Dead or Alive has no playable mother.

Gonna have to scroll up later and watch a lot of these vids.

Can’t wait to see how next gen fighters look on Unreal Engine 5

Honestly, mash strong and hold back.

Strong is a good button. Close up it has frame advantage, far is a decent poke, and it has a normal throw, and hides headbutts.

When I played monday, I was playing a one button Honda

The whole vid has a conversation about it. It isn’t just that you’re checking your meter, its also that you adjust your playstyle accordingly. The player he spoke to kept playing the same regardless of the meter situation.

Even though he had more options and could be more threatening with CA, he didn’t really adjust regardless.

SF6 about to have 11 frames of input lag

Those videos were really good. I need to get better at reading my opponent as well as changing my platsyle if I have meter, because I really don’t do any of these things…

It’s pretty embarrassing the stuff I’m trying to do in 3S with zero bars.

I’d also often lose rounds in V with full VT bar and not activating or using V-Revserals

All of these concepts were meaningless in the face of a 6yo playing SF2 on the SNES. Good times.

Which version was the SNES one again? CE?

Speaking of bars and meters…

Fuck 3S for actually mirroring the inputs for P2 on the Super selection screen. Lost a winnable match against Spin yesterday trying to confirm into Dudley’s Uppercut super. (And just mashing it raw on wakeup when it didn’t work.)

Yes and I don’t understand whats problematic about this.
Thats something pretty simple to understand.

Makes me wonder, did SFVs Skilllever degrade so heavy that someone whos supposed to be GrandMaster doesn’t understand this?

Probably the best list I’ve seen recently. Doesn’t downplay boxer or Gief too.

I think Alex and fang don’t deserve to be that low and Kage should go up, but those are minor. List is good overall.

Burst out laughing at that Twitter highlight character tier list. Lol

I’ll never not be disgusted at it, but at least he was honest about his wack definition.

I think I said it in the past, but one of the things that made me realize I hadn’t become competent with a character in SFV (since I play a lot of different characters) was that I didn’t know when to spend my bar. Once I start knowing that it feels like I am proficient enough with the character.
