It is kinda funny how NRS acknowledged that they went wild with thr sex fanservice, cut it down and then just ramped up the violence.
Although can you even say they’ve ramped up the violence? MKX started showing internal organs, right? Not much further you can take it after that.

I actually thought MKX was gorier than 11.
In X, the fatalities were over the top, but the gore seemed pretty realistic. The fatalities where heads were cut in half and you saw all the inner workings legitimately had me squeamish.
In 11, they’re over the top for sure and making the characters look more realistic doesn’t help, but they also seem to be a little more humorous, and a better representative of classic fatalities.
It’s still a little much for me though. Once I see a fatality in-game once, I pretty much just uppercut an enemy to finish them - unless they really pissed me off… Nice to have the option lol

I was talking to somebody about something similar to this yesterday (they can bring it up if they want to) that something missing in Fighting Game Theory writing is top players explaining their thought processes. Watching the adaptation happen in real time gives you a better sense of what’s going on in the matches.
Wolfkrone was really good about that when he was streaming SF5. After that I haven’t watched many other players talk aloud about what they’re thinking/looking for/etc as they play. Well I saw you doing this and then did that. I can do this so I’ll watch out for this while I look for that. Wolfkrone was interesting in that he’d plan out escape plans too.
Modern FGC got a whole world in their hands and not looking at it. Breaks your heart.
