The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

A furry.
SonicFox used him when he still dabbed on SFV.

If SF6 becomes a thing i demand a free camera option and being able to freeze attacks / animations for cool as hell screenshots ( yes i know there’s a hack for it but needs to be official ).

This is why,Red Dead is awesome :

For a lot of FGs, it’s true that you often don’t need to know the ins and outs of every character. In Tekken, a game with a fairly balanced roster that’s also chock full of defensive knowledge checks, and where most characters are actually played, it’s fairly necessary. I can think of 3 or 4 characters in the entire roster that haven’t been played in tournament at my scene.

If no one is using the chars, how is a problem that you cant find matches to get experience
It is why i say is not an issue.

Cause when you run into those mains on that full moon or in pools they go full fucking degenerate without fail.

And that is a whooooole other can of worms.

If “execution barriers” are the way a dev uses to keep characters from being too strong, you can put them in High Tier without a worry in your mind.

It’s the single stupidest design choice I’ve ever seen. It never works in a satisfactory way for anyone involved.

Execution should only gatekeep players from doing stylish stuff. Period.

Fuck SFIV for giving characters 1f link BnBs. :face_vomiting:

Then you adapt.
If i can do it with my old man reactions, and my injured over the year hands, anyone can do it.

Unless the char in question has a guimick that your character really doesnt have an answer to, you can always have a chance even if you have zero idea of what the char can do.

This ain’t talking bout piss easy samey sfv. In Tekken nuance between characters matters a lot more. This why panda and other dumb shit goes around bopping the fuck outta people. :joy:

Good luck figuring out what to do against Eddy, Hwoarang, Yoshimitsu or Xiaoyu mid-match if you’ve never played against them before.

Feel free to scroll up and like this post for I spit raw facts without a single match of Kekken to my name.

I hate mfs.

Customer: hey how big is this rug

Me (looking at the label): it’s 24” x 48”, so 2ft by 4ft

Customer: yes but how big is it?

Me: …

I still get ptsd against xiaoyu after Tekken 6/tag. Even now I hate that dumb character, fuck zafina too while I’m ranting. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Truth be told, with your wack ass measuring system, I’d answer the same way.

I give you that Tekken is another can of worms due how the game wors, but even then, the same rules applies to some extent.

Also, if people really need the experience, we have tools for that now.
Like, you can go and find matchups for that character you lack experience by going to discord.

I know that SF players loathe the idea to actively searching for the matchups, but it is there and is a way to learn :joy:

It absolutely does matter, you kidding me? Unless certain characters become so overpowering that you don’t have a choice but to drop whomever you’re using and play them the constant balance changes mean there’s nowhere near as much time as before to condense the meta as definitively.

MvC2 proves your point in that “The meta will always condense and solidate”. But imagine if the game wasn’t left alone. Now you are forced to have at least a vague idea of what other characters can do or you’re going to get run over. There’s no such thing as taking multiple years to truly understand a game anymore. Now it’s all about instant gratifiction. Now you can go back to “You’re being a fucking idiot, you proved my point again. Players will just shift to whatever’s good immediately and the problem just solved itself” but as I mentioned it doesn’t always lead to consistent success. Not everyone is Infiltration who has 10+ characters in a stable and has them ready to go at a moment’s notice. Some people, even the best, can’t learn characters that quickly and have them ready for legitimate play let alone matchup knowledge.

Shit, look at Daigo. Rashid was the bane of his existence even before everyone jumped on his jock and it cost him multiple tournaments due to that, whereas if it was in an old school game his lack of knowledge in the matchup would be irrelevant. Him picking better characters like Guile would alone be enough alongside his skill and he’d steamroll anyone dumb enough to pick bad characters.

There’s just no “figuring out and evolving a game into its purest aspect” anymore, and honestly it’s a damn shame. Games that get no continuous content are just left for dead, and games that get it just fluctuate so much that there’s nowhere near as much fun in figuring out or causing a shakeup.

I honestly wish I was born 5 years sooner so I could’ve appreciated the golden age a lot more.

You know what i used to do for that?
I played with my homies with said characters that gave us problems and helped each other to learn.

It is how i became an Eddy and Hwoaran player while my hommie Abraham was a Yoshimitsu and Xiaouyu player, besides the chars we used before.

I still remember Daigo getting washed in pools by a Fang and everyone was surprised Pikachu face. :joy:

I wonder how smashers cope with their 70+ 80 character count roster lol.

And also, I’ve been on forums and I see people asking for Sf6 to keep the characters in sf5 and just add on to make Sf6.

Jesus these smashers think that every game has to be like smash.

He got beat by that south american SRKer using Zeku too. Got caught slipping and not knowing the match up.

Buktooth fucked an Evo up doing N-Iori/Morrigan/Ibiki.

Guess those people should’ve anime’d up.

Off topic to the current topic but…

Anyone know if the older KI games are on Fightcade?

I started watching that new KI documentary and it really got me interested in them, and my PC can’t run the Xbox one.

KI Gold on N64 was one of my favourite fighting games growing up.

Lmao, that’s just not possible, the fuck?

Come to think of it…

Let’s spice this up.

Who y’all think that should be cut from SFV in SF6 and why?
Yes, besides Rashid.
