The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

@Skort haven’t seen Skort in a while. where are you? How’s those blender porn videos coming along?

Then you hadn’t been paying attention. I complained about people going off topic. The majority of people didn’t agree, they didn’t care about going off topic, mod was cool with it, and that was that. That was months ago at this point. Majority rules. Now people can pretty much talk about what they want in this thread. People talk about Tekken, MK, Gran Blue, etc. Shit they actually play. Yet Cipher still constantly bitches about SFV a game he doesn’t play. I think its pathetic and said as much. Would you rather I smile to his face and bitch behind his back? That would be bullshit.

Iirc, he went on a tear for months until NuckleDu was finally able to take a set off him in a tournament. I remember seeing an article about it on EHubs.

Also, I was kinda disappointed to see 40 new posts and most of them being “@Cipher doing Cipher things.”

Tbh, I agree. I hate SFV, it pretty much single-handedly kill my interest in fighting games, but you don’t see me complaining about it every other day.

I think this deserves a @darc_requiem knockout gif

Also, why should this be the case?

Tbh, it made it easier for me to see what kind of fighting games I like. You’re on PC so you have a lot of options too.

I’m pretty happy SFV is as bad as it is, made me branch out and find whats real fun.

It’s a bit weird though, remember as I was playing SFIV and was interested in literally any other FG, every SF player on the world planet started yelling at me that I cannot play anything other than SFIV.
Why did I listen to these people in retrospective? I don’t know.

You can still play randoms though. The 30A netcode doesn’t seem friendly to wifi users but there may be less on PC.

Also, I’m sure there’s a lot of people on Fightcade with somewhat decent pings for you.

This may sound ridiculous, but I don’t really get motivated to play a FG beyond the story mode if I don’t have someone that I want to beat.
Randoms just don’t scratch that itch, y’know? Some times you just want to sit down and have quality matches with certain people. Randos are too hit and miss in both connection and skill.

That is true, and I used to be like that with single player stuff myself, until I really started seeing (some) wins and progress playing against others online.

Also, in 30A, I’ve gotten into the habit of friend requesting a random on PSN if we have tight matches with a good connection. The 30A often matches you up with them the next set anyway, so we might as well make a lounge out of it, lol

Well since you asked…

The frame data in older games was pretty crazy in some spots. It also gets into that weird area of “why am I okay with this situation in one game and not the other” that players go through. People have seemingly forgot, and in some cases made some really bad excuses, for some of the silly things in 4.

If/When SF6 comes out, the conversation around it is going to be similarly interesting. Im sure there are people asking how footsies are gonna work without the priority system or focus attack. Then there will be similar defenses of v-triggers as a mechanic…

For a hot minute I didnt understand which parts of SF4 people were going to miss. Turns out there is a strong contigent of people who enjoy hittng them links. Those people dont enjoy entering SF4 tournaments to do them though. With SF5 people may play it longer because the execution isnt as taxing. But I dont know that it’ll have as strong a scene as SF4 does now.

You want the thread to he on topic, bring up SF5. You play Alex. Did you watch the FT10 between Hawkingbird and I?

Wanna talk about how a key reason he lost was the fact that I only had two worry about the knockdown from two moves as far as oki went?

How do you feel about Menat having Dhalsim limbs without the limitations?

Where was your post opining on the number of unorthodox projectiles in SF5?

There’s a bunch of stuff to discuss and dissect in this game. But since the new netcode patch, the game is virtually unusable. PlusFrame is up in Canada’s cold asshole and we have freaking GREAT connections in 30th but not SF5. If the game’s netcode stopped functioning altogethet, wtf are we supposed to do with the game? You disable crossplay and lose like 1/3 of the playerbase or more. Try to find lounges with US flags and they are basically non-existant.

Find a topic. Bring something up. If people have gotten fed up with it, there appears to be plenty of reason why.

This made me laugh. I love Canada but I woke up to a snow storm with it accumulating.

It’s pretty much all melted now, but now is the time i’m normally considering putting my soft top on my Jeep.

And good to know your connection is good too. After some of the bad connections I was getting Saturday night, I was wondering if it was me.

I don’t even see how you can be mad at cipher shit talking SFV when Pertho been having having whole shit flinging tirades bout how bad the game is. :joy:

Hell a lot of people that still play SFV shit on it regularly.

It’s just not in a good place. Netcode is ass, CC is ass, T. rex buttons are ass, bison/Rashid exist, etc etc.

OH PLEASE

The offtopic talk has been around since way before you asking for Cipher to be banned.

Lately everyone that still plays SFV talks more shit bout it than cipher. Where should the line be drawn?

At this point it’s hilariously silly to get bent outta cause cipher is gonna cipher.

Peeps say Tekken and mk are trash often and no one bats an eye though. :eyes:
