The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

I really hope SF6 has less of an emphasis on comeback mechanics.

Yeah.

Crush counters that lead to a tacked on special move at most would be nice too. Like the counters in Alpha 3.

I feel the vtriggers of this last season seem a bit less op than earlier seasons. Plus on block activation can go as well as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah…that would be a bigger statement if the higher end “Smash Community” weren’t revolting against online tourneys.

Hey now, give them some credit for achieving common sense.

Nice counter

Yeah, I feel the characters they introduced last season tended to be more well rounded with less OP triggers. Definitely prefer that style for sure.

I think the thing that tilts me the most is the huge momentum swings. Like in Granblue there are comebacks but they feel earned. In SFV it’s just another day at the office when a Urien activates and turns the tables.

I feel like CC as a concept isn’t even bad, it’s just got willfully stupid at some point.

Like look at Ryu. S.hp just does a bit more damage and knocks down. No combo without VTC, and even then it’s just a small juggle. S.hk nets you combos, but it whiffs on crouchers.

Then we have characters throwing out shit that’s safe or even plus on block and leads to dash in combos. Like…what?

Yeah fuck Urien.

Get rid of crush counters after whiffed dps too.

Sounds like someone is doing DPs on air reset…

He is. I found a 3S character he can mash against for the time being.

Playing Necro?

Playing Makoto.

Something goofy is going on because I’ll a good depth jump in and he is throwing me afterwards. So either J.hp doesn’t have as much blockstun as I thought or something is letting him get away with shenanigans.

You’re not keeping it tight. Makoto is highly susceptible to being thrown after an air normal, so you wanna go for j.HK into a mixup. Jab, karakusa and cr.LK work great.

I play Mak and am ok with her, so I can help if you need it.

Yeah, I don’t know either. I’ll keep at it and then switch to somebody else I don’t know how to play. Hmm… there’s a lot of command normals I’m not even using yet.

I like Necro a lot though.

In the Oxford Thesaurus, “Necro” is a synonym for “Command Normals.” That character is fucked up. Good luck with the Mak though.

I probably shouldn’t be throwing after a blocked jump-in, but it became an automatic reaction in SFV. Despite throwing you, I didn’t rralize I was doing it so much. Thanks for the heads up.

The current match with Perth and plus is pretty hype. Glad my scrub ass is getting something out of this

I also have a terrible habit when I drop an input (like a super), to keep doing it repeatedly afterwards just to prove to myself I can do it, despite what’s happening in the match. That’s what those two supers were in neutral that you punished me twice for.

Really stupid fucking habit.
