The police are out of control. Which started all this in the first place and each time they do something else, it only makes it worse. Hell they arrested one reporter while he was live on the air.

Yeah shits going down right now in a lot of places. The initial killing was in Minnesota but cops and protesters have been clashing in cities all over the country. Pick any major city and you can probably find a twitter video within 2 mins of the police doing something illegal/unethical/needlessly violent handling demonstrations in the last week.
Doesn’t help that unemployment is at record highs due to covid and the presidents comments/actions are throwing fuel on the fire. Don’t know how long this’ll last or if anything will really change but for now this seems like the June edition of 2020 apocalypse bingo for us.

My city has had a curfew for the last week and just passed an ordnance to extend it indefinitely. Thousands of people have been marching every single day. I will say, that the tensions between protesters and cops has died down a ton, and now it’s almost completely peaceful. Still, everything is on edge.

One of the worst thing about this is the media. They seem entirely focused on the looting while also ignoring the disgusting abuse of power shown by the police.

No lies detected. I turn on the news and it’s nothing but looters, like 30s of peaceful protests, then more looting. They never show the ops pepper spraying people completely unprovoked or shooting tear gas into peaceful crowds. I gotta find that shit myself online from some bystanders cell phone video
