I just hope you are all ready for the announcement. Tournament Mode, Bison buffs, CA2, and the ultimate netcode update incoming!!!

It seems Digital Eclipse (who worked on the SF 30th A collection) is behind the Samsho one, so it may use the same netcode, and possibly have similar lobby/training options.

Oh NO! That’s bad news! Digital Eclipse also made the lobby system, the choice of games online and basically everything wrong with 30th. Hope they learned.

3 versions of SamShoV and no SamShoVI… for real?

I don’t know if it was them who chose which games were online/had training modes, but yeah, I hope they improve upon 30A. I still think it’s a good collection and overall done fairly well, but yeah, there’s definitely room for improvements.

Also, why does everyone hate the Epic Game Store so much?

If you download the Samsho collection during that free week, you have it forever for free. It’s not like a free trial or anything. You just have to download it within that time period.

And yet, a lot of the comments were filled with people (questionable) saying that they’d still rather buy it for full price on Steam.

Why would so many people be against free stuff?

chalk it down to man being a creature of habit?

Most likely because they buy off titles for a certain period of time or even permanent, not allowing the players to buy on a platform they have been using for years ( Steam most likely ) .

Epic is “ok” and more platforms is usually ok for the consumer, as it forces the companies to up their features to attract a playerbase. But the way Epic did it is pretty meh, ofc it attracted hate. Now they want to win people over with offering free games.

Which is an unbelievably dumb reason to hate Epic Store by the way.
It’s not like you own stock in Valve and if people switch it hurts your bottom line.
Steam has a near monopoly on the PC gaming market minus EA (which is amazing so don’t even see their garbage simply by not installing Origin), Blizzard and not sure what other company has their own proprietary store. So what the fuck was Epic supposed to do to attract customers?

I’m not questioning if the hate they get for that reason is right or wrong but it’s most likely the main reason in the view of many. The message Epic sent was kinda “we the new guys in town,we bought out all the shit, come here now”. People don’t like that. Steam ain’t no saint but the difference is that Steam having stuff like forums, reviews ,art gallery and many others allowed them to develop a community through the years not just consumers.

I want Epic to improve but they should had went for a different approach, you don’t buy off a community, you build it.

Steam had fuck all when it started.
Steam built it’s player base on the grounds of being the only option.
as per building a community with Steam around, I wish we lived in the land of gummy bears and soft candy you’re descrbing.

Thanks guys. I’ll download it for free from Epic and buy it on PS4 as well.

I just made my Steam profile (excluding the one I played the Counter-Strike Source version on), so I don’t really care about having to create another one.

Just watched the MK Aftermath story.

While I don’t like some of the developments, I absolutely love that Shang was the main villain in the end. After getting punked at 9 and completely ignored in X, it was great seeing be an evil bastard. And Cary killed his role as him.

Shang got owned like 90% of the Aftermath story, him getting his own ending where he wins is kinda refreshing…

There is no reason that 3rd strike should still be the Pinnacle of 2d greatness.

I see that game and everything about it still looks great. Even compared to like rev 2…

Rev 2 looks smoother and clean of course, but the animations don’t come close to popping like they do in 3S.

Heck even X-Men cota still looks great

True but actually having a chapter where you got to play as him remedied that. Remember you were supposed to believe Shao, Noob, and Cetrion were supposed to be threats in the base game?

KoF XIII says hi

It wasnt until an MvC2 player mentioned it but Sentinel lost a lot of moves and animations going into it from CoTA.

They definitely restored some dignity to the OG villains of the series. Much better story than MK11.
