This is an extremly good point.
I think BB also had the succes it had duo to the varierty of their offline Modes.
I mean in CF you get:
Arcade Mode with up to 3 Routes (some characters have less, mainly the CF ones)
Story Mode, with Sub Storys and Gag Reels
Time Attack Mode
Some Sort of Point Rush Mode
Abyss Mode
Lots and lots of unlockables trough Gallery
Every Character as Announcer if you wish so.
The only thing they deleted was the Infinite Mars one.
Kinda sad, Unlimited Characters are mad fun to play.
Need a story unlock? Just leave the thing playing on the background.
Game got no story unlocks? You don’t even need to click on it.
But for casuals that stuff is the difference between “Ok, all I got in this game is training, vs. bots and this laggy online. F’ that.” and “Oh hey, this game actually has a cool story and X character is awesome, I wanna play more.”
He’s actually pretty good too. I think Ketchup & Mustard just put him in the top 10 (or close to, I can’t remember)… I may actually learn him for my anti-zoning counter-pick, but I have my heart set on Jade or Sindel (her low screamer projectile puts her hurtbox below like every projectile, even Robocop’s low pistol shot).
Sindel’s fun until someone like Sonya or Jacqui comes within arm’s length. Robocop looks extremely boring yet effective. I’d like to learn one of the 3 new characters and Fujin is the most interesting to me so far. That stomp from Sheeva seems crazy cheap though, especially online.
Yeah that stomp is ridiculous. Thankfully I haven’t ran into a spammer yet.
And about my counterpick, it would only be a counterpick. I’d likely start every match as Kitana, but if I lose against someone zoning from full screen, then I’d like to be able to choose someone to beat them at their own game.
Shang Tsung’s V3 has probably the best anti-zoning tool in the game (Smoke’s Shake) but I don’t really like the rest of that variation all that much
I was looking at Noob’s teleport, but since it’s a high, it will actually whiff Robocop (and likely Sindel) when they do their low projectiles.
No seriously, they could have had so many great serieses.
Instead they have Ash travel from Region to Region to get his ass handed to him in the end… hey he won in Alola <.< so he is the Pokemon Champion now.
He should have won in Sinnoh already, but they had to asspull it with some guy who runs around with 6! legendarys and wins with only losing one Pokemon
And then they did the most unforgiveable thing and made the Black & White Series attrociously bad.
I was calling the Salamanders for extra fire to burn it!
Also the adventures Manage is the coolest shit ever, when the goal of the actual fight is to kill the Trainer the stakes are raised and Giovanni was the Hero of the Story, best stuff <.<
