SF5 is that boring though. It just leaves you indifferent and hollow.
The people that like it the most here dont even play it regularly.

Meanwhile I am here spending every second of free time I have just practicing execution and having the time of my life. Funny how life works.
Play Gief, Honda or Balrog. The only way SFV has any semblance of fun.
Or…just play Tekken. 
Having way too much fun with BotW and the NBA Playoffs to play those shitty FGs out there.
And I’m trying to do unnecessarily hard things in Hades that way people can tell me I’m ducking other games because of difficulty.
The SF5 problem is mostly the netcode. When the biggedt match up in the game is the actual game software, then GGs. Even as garbage as our connections tend to be in 3S, I’m still not trying to let Dayaan win.
SF5 kinda gets you to a point where you stop caring.

So I needed something slow to play as a way to unwind, but where the play sessions can be relatively short bursts, so I decided to try Teamfight Tactics yesterday. Hoo boy is this my type of game, I’m probably gonna burn wayyy too much time on this shit.
If anyone have played this: I assume all the actual good players are in Ranked, not in Normal? With how complicated the game seems, I hadn’t expected to win anything for at least a week.

If you want something slow and nice, there’s Wasteland 3 and Crusader Kings 3 coming this weekend.
Ranked you’ll see more cohesive builds, better team comps and people actually giving a fuck bout Econ.
Try to focus on 2-3 team comps and maybe another fringe pick in case your usual stuff gets sniped.
Any dedication and you’ll likely walk through ranked till gold.

I’m also not very fond of neither Western RPGs or Paradox-games. Not my cup of tea.
I’ve been running Cybernetics most of the time (Lucian and Ekko <3) and typically end up with 2-4 Vanguards to meatshield in front of that, seems nice and consistent if it’s not too heavily contested. I’ve also had several top 3 placements with Astro (one of my wins were just that, 3-star Teemo with Astro, blue buff and a few more other things. Just shroomed the fuck out of everything) but I suspect that’s a build you need to kind of highroll with.
I feel like I have a decent idea on how the early- and mid game functions, and positioning seems a lot less complicated than I thought at first. The hardest part about the game really is transitioning to the late game, realizing when you can stockpile gold for interest, and realizing what options you have depending on the items you get. I assume I’ll get the hang of it after a few more games.

Exactly. You’ll get the feel for it as play and try different teams. Sometimes you want to highroll to keep a win streak, slow roll cause you’re going even or take a loss streak to build gold, sit on your gold etc.
Lots of different strategies to get wins. Great cause it’s also on mobile so it’s easy to grab a few games whenever you want.
