No, you get rid of the tournament entirely. EVO had already lost its place because every FG worth a damn has their own “World Championship” now.
The only thing EVO was used for after that was being a second FG E3 but that’s also no longer necessary. It can die as it should now.

If you want to be “The Champ” of a certain game, you gotta deal with the corporate tours. If you just want blow people up, there are still gonna be plenty of grassroots tourneys that will allow that too. EVO has no place in either anymore.
Unless the entire management is involved I doubt anything substantial is going to happen to the tournament, EVO as a trademark isn’t the same thing as the people that organized it originally a while ago, it’s all corporate at this point.
