The idea that a character shouldnât show up in another installment because they were powerful in a previous one has always been really fucking stupid to me.
Itâs a totally different game, thatâs the whole point. They have another chance to iterate on ideas that may or may not have worked so well previously.

Are Zato and Millia annoying too? sure, but I get to understand what fucked me when fighting those 2.
I mean I donât think Bridget is considered particularly strong in +R, but I canât remember a top 4 of a +R tournament without Mahouko in it in recent years.
FANGâs playstyle can go choke on it too.

Zato is one of those designs thatâs always gonna end up in the stronger side or the whole character is ass.
Thereâs a few other characters in that spot where, in order to be good, they kinda have to be gross.
Its always made me wonder if there are inherently flawed designs that are unfixable. Can a character be fundamentally âwrongâ in conception so much so that you cant really balance him?
