I really don’t think Menat is going to replace Rose. The two don’t play alike at all. The two can coexist even if Menat shares three of her moves.

Also Menat is sick, stylish combos, long ass normals, cute as a button.
Rose is far more popular than Menat imo.

I like Menat as an outside observer and wouldn’t change a thing about her. I just get annoyed when I see people claim that there’s no reason for Rose to be in the same game as her.

The two have similaritys, but play in the end completly different, not just because of the current game.
I wonder how well Menat would do in a Game with actuall Neutral and no Comeback Mechanics.
SF really needs more defensive Mechanics, I still think they should take a note from GG and give Dead Angles to everyone for like 1 or 1 1/2 bars of Meter, but make them actual good and not ass like V-Reversal.

Since Capcom asked / teased us about the upcoming characters being returning or new, i expect a mix of both.
Maybe 3 returning 2 new. If they actually include that dumb Gorilla from ED’s crew over some fan favorite characters then i can truly say that whoever is in charge of SFV is dumb as rocks.

Some SFV characters are straight up dumb. Look at G for example. It’s all good until he pops VT1 and get 10 EX moves to jank on you with. This also means he gets to save CA to do a gorillion damage later.
Do you think this is good design for a SF game?

As far as I can tell, a lot of the best characters are still legacy SF characters. Am I misinformed?
Edit: Yeah, most tier lists from the best players have at least more than half of top ten being legacy SF characters.

I think he does a little too much damage, and some of these characters could definitely be toned down, but that means ya’ll want them to never show up again…? Naw. Hard disagree. That’s why it seems like ya’ll just want them to go away because you have trouble fighting them. I would argue the more reasonable option is just like, I dunno, re working or toning them down in the next game.
