The Street Calibur 5 Lounge: The Soul Burns But not as Hard as the FGC is Burning

I never got the appeal of the super violence in MK.

Honestly I get bored after I see the same fatality more than 5 times.

MK fanservice is gross and unironically gives some of their devs PTSD

I am totally serious.
Like i said, i would like for crossplay to become a more commont thing.
But i know very well that there are multiple reasons why is not a common thing yet.

And yes, It is entitlement because people act like is something that must be done every single time, ignoring the costs that it has.

From a developer stand point is not hard, since you have to make your clients able to speak t each other.
The problem is that from an economical/legal/etc stand point it has more difficulties.

You have to make multiple companies to play ball, and in many cases you have to invest in your infrastructure.

Maybe you dont act like an ass about it, but the majority act unreasonable when it comes to the subject.

This type of things are a gradual thing.
Is not something that happens from one day to the other.

If people really want it to be a standard, the discussion needs to be in a more positive way, and not the usual retardedness that many gamers do on social media.

Ah yes, I see your point.

Twitch Chat and Twitter “FGC” really are the worst.

I suppose these loud buffoons have their use though. Crossplay and Rollback were addressed in the roundtable after all.

I would always find hilarious how is bad to have a woman showing some sking in a vg, but is fucking ok to decapitate them and make their severed heads pop her eyes wide open when you impale the head on last time while having all the gory details front and center in slowmo.

If we want them to listen, we need to make our points come across in a respectful way.
It also help that more fg fans are involving themselves with the companies now in a direct way.

And this is progress, because unlike the unwashed masses (shoutout to the Smashers), these people are respectful and will at least attempt to offer good advice.

MK has always given me the “you’re gonna LOVE it cause your mom HATES it!” vibe.

Which i think is the cringy-est thing.

But most fighting games are sorta cringy to me:

MK-LOOK AT ALL THE BLOOD! SO RAD
Thems fighting herds- I mean, come on.

and all the rest more or less- Bet you like ass and tiddays. Well, good news, here’s all the ass and tiddays and they have craaaaaaazy physics! to varying degrees.

DBFZ is an actual fan service game, but it’s probably the least cringy to me. Funny, tho, that the horniest character was made just for the game (android 21)

Yes and no. That’s her idle stance, but the camera has been moved to her side.

She was hating on Infiltration here too in at least a few posts.

I’m cool with her, but trying to cancel Infiltration when he’s proven to be innocent is not cool.

He served his time even though he was innocent. He’s a pro gamer and an incredible one at that. By canceling him, you’re depriving him of making a living the way he knows best. And that’s fucking cruel.

And I always believe in giving people second chances. By outright canceling people, you’re not giving people the chance to change and improve. And it’s not like people who cancel others are saints too.

How is she the horniest when she is wearing baggy pants?

I don’t really care about each thing to be honest. Whoever is running the Wendy’s account is funny as hell, and I’m not going to hate a dude asking for lewd art. The latter did seem a bit more “unprofessional” to me, but again, I don’t care. I laughed when I saw it.

Yo, this makes me think of P5.

I’m playing it right now and the morality of the game is so weird and mixed up to me.

If a person is expected to be punished even if they are rehabilitated, what’s the point of attempting to rehabilitate someone?

Let’s say infiltration was proven guilty, paid whatever fines, did jail time, whatever, and came out of that experience realizing what he did was wrong and he’s going to be better in the future, should he be banned forever??

Peoples perception of justice is so kooky to me sometimes

People dont want justice.
They want revenge.

The hilarious part is that all the idiots advocating for ruining the lives of people for any perceived slight offense are autodenominated liberals, and as far as i know, one of the pillars of liberal ideologies is for reformation and alternatives for punitive punishments.

They don’t just want revenge. They want to destroy the fuck outta you if they disagree with you. lol.

@KingTubb You got the Persona 5 Royal version? I loved the game. Dragged on a little too long but I like my RPGs long. Always makes me feel empty when im done with a good one lol.

people on Resetera are hating on the game right now lol.

This. This is all that needs to be said about Infil.

At this point, the ship has sailed on the debate about whether or not he’s innocent or not. It doesn’t matter at all.

He got banned, did his time, and came back. End of story.

And this is why cancel culture is literally toxic. (That word disgusts me, but it’s the proper one.)

It doesn’t allow people to learn from their mistakes. Nothing can thrive in cancel culture, especially when you got people canceled over minor things.

Remember when the Infil ban was treated like a huge milestone because it was a severe and weighty punishment?

Now we got Mike Z perma-banned because he got no game.

Then when actual disgusting people got exposed, there was no weighty, exemplary action to be done as a community and a lot of them got shot down like faceless mooks.

The Smash community got over 50 people canceled with their blowups. They got drunken hook-ups on the same bag as literal pedophiles.

I can’t even recall 5 of them because everybody got gunned down immediately, there was no strong, exemplary action because the perma-ban punishment is given out like candy.

This is atrocious for a community.

Agree.
It is one of the things that i fucking despise of social media and the toxic way people interact on it.

You just need to throw some accusations and people will believe them regardless if they are true or not.

And even if you prove you are innocent, just the fact that you were accused is enough for those imbeciles to still try to ruin your life.

The gore in MK11 is one of the things I like the least about it. Whenever I do a fatality (which you have to do a lot of in the start to unlock a bunch of things in the krypt), I look out my living room window to make sure no kids are out in front, lol. Shit’s embarrassing.

There is satisfaction for doing a fatality on an actual person after a set, particularly if they annoyed you in the fight. It actually seems to take some of the frustration out and helps to make wins feel like wins (as opposed to SFV where you’re still pissed off even if you won).

Full disclosure, before that dude RQ’d on me, I was excited to knock his ass into the acid pool

I have vanilla, a little over half way through the second palace.

Absolutely love it so far, and if i don’t get too bored, I plan on getting royal when I’m done and redoing it.

From the changes that i’ve seen listed, Royal looks like it’s a lot easier, so I would be able to breeze through to the third semester.

But the morality of the game is funky to me. They essentially help people find out why they suck. In my book, job well done, they’re rehabilitated! They aren’t going to continue they’re actions… So it feels weird putting a “good” person in jail.

Why?
