If you look at japan a lot of their players are multi game players and good at all of them.
Maybe some people don’t want to juggle multiple fighters. 
EU SF players don’t really branch out. KoF players don’t branch out. Niche anime players don’t etc. Hell Tekken players around the world only play Tekken.
This isn’t just a US thing. Just salty large communities here don’t gravitate to wack games like Undernight.
Marvel 2 players hated all other games besides super turbo, cvs2 and some 3rd strike.
I didn’t make it clear, but most of the GG players play VSav too. And Uni. And Tekken. Most of them play marvel. A decent amount play SamSho.

Did I mention that he never plays offline and only plays online where he flexes with sick Hakumen Combos? Aka looping the same special 8x in a row.
Yeah, but you can’t play customs in Kombat League, which is the only way you’ll get any sort of matchmaking with randoms, and in my experience, fight people closer to your level.
