I just used an electric chainsaw to cut down a big branch that was rubbing up on our power lines.

Branch came down no problem and the line looked undisturbed.

I set up for the next branch to cut and the electric chainsaw has no power. Turns out the whole town is deadā€¦

I donā€™t think it was me, but I can imagine a nice fine if they want to throw it on someone. My neighbour was giving me cut-eye as I was doing this

Damn, that sucks for your coworker.

This one has some sort of a clutch where the instant you let go of the trigger, it comes to a screeching halt. I made sure to check that when I was shopping because I had a hedge trimmer that would still move after you let go and I was working on an adjustment screw for that very issue to slow it down (while it was idling so i could see the effects), and I dropped the screw driver. My instinct was to catch it and i shoved my hands right into the blades. Thankfully it didnā€™t go through the bone, but i was very lucky.
