Enjoyed the stream for the most part. I give it a C+ grade. Could’ve done without the constant video freezes and especially the crashes. So very aggravating everytime the video froze and then seconds later hearing the commentators and the crowd go nuts in reaction to something over the audio. Then the video would finally kick back in. Made trying to watch the matches a bit of a pain.

And yeah, the crashes sucked. But it’s like the saying the goes, shit happens. Hopefully they found out what caused them so they can take steps to avoid it happening in future broadcasts.

stream seamed good but it crashed at 3 points in sf4 for me and they were all really bad moments for a crash.
staying up to watch a final at 6-7 in the morning only to miss it due to stream crash is not acceptable for me.
i would rather wait and watch videos the next day than have that.

Next year, I would not mind paying $3-5 for exclusive premium access to the stream. Fuck, I know I’ve paid 10 times that for a boxing match on PPV for a fight that lasts less than 2 hours. That way it can stay free for everybody else, and they can buy what ever equipment, but if the band with hits a certain amount, only the paid people get to stay on.

i like rtdzign’s idea for exclusive access.

I took the day off on Friday just to get in the entire weekend’s stream. You have my word I would pay $ for a solid stream. Friday was killing me with 1+ second freezes and blackouts. I know I wasn’t the only one cause when stuff was crapping out I checked the twitter feed and it was 90% people saying “wtf freeze!!!” and “wtf black screen!!!”

they got paid to advertise G4, EVO, MadCatz, Stickam, and whatever other sponsors LevelUp had. they cut off the end and immediately uploaded the Grandfinal on EVO’s official youtube channel so that other people couldnt steal it and garner traffic. they wanted all the traffic for themselves. if im such a conspiracy theorist then why did they not switch the camera to the Awards Ceremony when the stream came back up? instead they opted to turn the stream back off. sounds shady to me. i scream bloody murder. and yes im fuckin pissed!! i waited so long to see Daigo win EVO and get his hand raised in front of 5000 screaming fans. i wanted to be a part of that :crybaby:

I’m pretty sure he did. At the very end of the stream AJ came over to the couch and looked like he passed out in exhaustion and DJ Wheat gave him props for working on the stream all weekend. Whether or not he referred to “AJ” and not “Level|Up” I don’t quite remember. The fact is that as far as streaming is concerned, AJ is LU.

Devastation was done by the Live on Three crew headed by Sir Scoots I’m pretty sure with AJ helping. It was not a Level|Up produced stream.

The hour up until the finals were the only flawless stream for me. Level up had exclusive rights to streaming and they knew that and used and abused that right . They could have simply picked up the cam and faced the stage!!!WTF??? Agreed. The stream was fine for the most part. It was nice of them to split the stream on stickam and ustream to help with bandwidth distribution. Sure it went down at the worst possible moment, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. The video was on YouTube shortly after.

Lucky for having Level Down doing stream? WTF How can people still think and act like Level Down is some kind of charity organization? Seriously, are people that blind to their nut hugging? Level Down got massive exposure and it was advertised constantly how good job they were doing. And it really is shady how they “couldn’t” pick up a camera and show the award ceremony. Instead they just killed the stream.
