Okay, you guys are saying Level Up Failed. Level|Up worked their butts off to be able to provide you, the community, a FREE STREAM. F-R-E-E. They didn’t charge you, you aren’t having to purchase an IGN insider account then wait 6+ months to be able to get half decent content.

You are telling me you would rather have 2 sub-par streams than one great stream.
By having a “back up” you are basically saying, use your bandwidth then cut it in two so you can have two streams.
Yeah, saying that you were displeased with the stream is one thing, but if ya’ll are saying that Level|Up failed or are a bunch of amateurs and crap like that, I want to see YOU try and do what they did. After all, if they are “amateurs” then you should EASILY be able to do the same thing. And when I say same thing, I want you to put that quality of a stream together.

plain and simple: the stream could have been better. anyone who argues against this should be ignored. i assume Level|Up is community based- so as a community, what needs to be done to make it better?

before EVO started, they had a rule that you cannot post EVO vids on youtube. why not? because EVO and their sponsors want to make money off of the footage.
that being said, i believe the stream cut off during the grandfinals on purpose. the only place you can watch the grandfinals is on Evo2kvids youtube page or on G4 on tv.
i think LevelUp was paid off. they want to keep the footage exclusive.
the most obivious part is once the stream came back on they wouldnt even show the awards ceremony for fucks sake. you could hear them giving out the awards to the top 4 but they kept the camera on Seth and that douchebag from G4. everyone wants to see the awards being given out and it’s obvious that LevelUp kept us from seeing it.

i dont care if it was free, thats the lamest statement ever. it was free for us but they made a shitload of money from it. they did not do us a public service out of the good of their heart. it was all business to them.
This is easily the dumbest thing I have read here in ages. So, they’re fine with giving you 40 hours of matches virtually nonstop, but they really didn’t want you to see 2 rounds of one match and an award ceremony. Are you kidding me? Oh, you mean what levelup did with Devastation… Because, yeah, they did that one too. I agree however that they were able to run a much smoother stream with 1/10th of the EVO viewership.
the USTREAM stream was actually very very good except for the hiccup at the end.
why can’t people just accept that shit happens and walk away? people say they are voicing their opinions so that they can have improvements for next year, but save for one or two posts, it’s just people crying. seriously most posts are just complaining “i do not like this, this is very bad, make it better, what the fuck is a budget who cares lol leveldown, evo is ruined.” shit happens. deal with it.

Next time you run a stream, make sure to turn off microphones before talking shit or being a jackass! So much shit got said in the background, I was pretty surprised at what I was hearing half the time…
Crashing was lame. However, I’m pretty sure the videos are up now, at least the most popular ones are anyway. They’re in better quality than what the stream had too. No doubt people will be stealing videos on YouTube too and putting them on their channel for view count.
they got paid to advertise G4, EVO, MadCatz, Stickam, and whatever other sponsors LevelUp had. they cut off the end and immediately uploaded the Grandfinal on EVO’s official youtube channel so that other people couldnt steal it and garner traffic. they wanted all the traffic for themselves. if im such a conspiracy theorist then why did they not switch the camera to the Awards Ceremony when the stream came back up? instead they opted to turn the stream back off. sounds shady to me. i scream bloody murder. and yes im fuckin pissed!! i waited so long to see Daigo win EVO and get his hand raised in front of 5000 screaming fans. i wanted to be a part of that :crybaby:
If that’s the case, then DJ Wheat needs to give more recognition to LU, because I cannot find any references anything other than “the Live on Three crew” in posts referring to Dev 2010’s stream production.
I’m pretty sure he did. At the very end of the stream AJ came over to the couch and looked like he passed out in exhaustion and DJ Wheat gave him props for working on the stream all weekend. Whether or not he referred to “AJ” and not “Level|Up” I don’t quite remember. The fact is that as far as streaming is concerned, AJ is LU.
