…
bringing this up again
shit happens. Our streaming rig happened to crash at the most inopportune time. deal with it.
SRK posted up the final match almost immediately.
stream/main stage pool matches were not recorded.
SRK recorded some choice matches, but the majority of recording was done by a third party.
People still thinking advertising filled content is the same as free content huh.
Regardless didn’t crash during HDR so i don’t really care.
One of the level|up employees said on the IRC channel that there were multiple internet connections in that hotel…
classy response.
1st sentence: Yes indeed, which is too bad since most of the time, the stream was excellent given the server load. Great commentary all throughout the weekend besides Sessler.
2nd sentence: It really was the worst time for the stream to crash, which does give people a legitimate reason to complain and offer suggestions for the future.
3rd sentence: WOW just wow. I really hope you aren’t speaking for all of the LevelUp crew, because that kind of PR-fail will demean your crew’s efforts and reputation. “deal with it”??? That’s an amazingly terrible comment to come from someone involved with the stream. That right there is an example of the bad part of “old SRK” and we really don’t need that kind of mindset to hamper the prospects of the future.
Also, who was the director? It happened tons of times that the commentators were talking about the match going on and the camera still facing them, instead of the fight…
Really? Fucking really? Wow, if you speak for the entire company you guys deserve more than just the shit you’re getting right now. SRK posted up the final match right afterwards to make up for YOUR TEAM’S FUCK UP! Take responsibility for that and don’t tell fans to deal with it.
Honestly it’s hard to even intelligently put words together because the utter disrespect and ignorance of your post knocked me into shock. Fuck you and fuck your company, I’m glad any respect you guys previously had went down the drain, and that the exposure you were receiving ended up being negative exposure.
You fuck up the biggest event of the year and act like nothing went wrong? The stream crashed twice in the grand finals at key moments, act at least a little apologetic, even if you don’t mean it.
Un-fucking-believable.
I was cutting you guys some slack before, but screw that. Stream was garbage 24/7 up until Saturday evening, then once you finally got the lag fixed you managed to horribly screw up the camera work, missing entire halfs of rounds while we watched commentators talk about the match, then the stream would just randomly cut out either audio or video. Horribly run stream from a joke of a company.
LO3’s commentary may leave a lot to be desired but at least they can do something as basic as piece a stream together properly.
ROFL
definitely not that bad
The stream was great for the majority of the time. For the first few hours on Friday it was terrible, but it improved and stayed solid the whole weekend. There were a few crashes, which is unfortunate. But it’s not like they aren’t aware of the stream randomly crashing. You guys can complain and criticize all you want, all you’re really doing is venting. Sure I’m pissed too that it went down at that moment, but what’s crying about going to accomplish? Sure you’re allowed to criticize, but when it’s a free stream your opinion doesn’t really matter at all. After the stream came back up, they apologized. As well as explained that it was a random occurrence and they could have done nothing to prevent it or see it coming. Sure they could have done things differently to reduce this kind of thing happening, but are we really expecting perfection here? Go ahead and say how much it sucked that the stream crashed, it’s not helping anything. All it’s really doing is just making you look like an ungrateful stream monster who sits at home instead of attending events.
lol you madddddddd.
seriously it must feel great to be a noob in this scene and have such a great sense of entitlement.
shit was free and ppl still bitch when two years ago streaming tournaments was unheard of.
Stream was straight-up garbage. 2 crashes on the FINAL match? Regular video freezes while the audio carried on? Footage of commentators while the match had started 20 seconds ago? Smooth moves for a company who should have used this as an opportunity to show how professional they are. The Evo crew should get their money back, cause this shit was a fucking joke.
Is there anywhere to watch the archived stream?
So tough to stream games when you got established professional communities for the games for years ready to jump at the chance.
By the way, ESWC has never streamed a console game.
Lmao, it’s so ridiculous and unheard of at the same time. Real professional from Level Up.
If I wanted to use Level Up for my stream and I hired you guys. Ok, now let’s pretend an unexpected error happens, Is the only explanation I get from Level Up, “deal with it”, is that what I would have to tell my viewers?
It seems Level Up team members don’t care for their reputation.
Lol, you know the funny shit is, you got a shit reputation now and guess what, deal with it.
check what forum this is.
Just because we didn’t have to pay for it, doesn’t mean the service was provided free.
And seeing as there are several other competing stream providers, it’s not like there’s room for balls ups
