my day 1 steve combo
1 meter 477 damage
After a Ducking Body, Ducking Hook, you can hold back to go into flicker, or you can link a regular move. From your question, I assume you want to link cr.MP after the Ducking Hook. The trick I find is to listen to the sound of your opponent getting hit by the move and pressing the button then. It’s a link, so it has a fixed timing. You can also plink it with cr.LP to make the execution a bit easier.
If you have no meter, then Ducking Body, Ducking Hook, cr.MP, cr.MP xx Hellfire is a good pressure combo that deals OK damage.

Glad I’m running Steve/Dudley and not Dudley/Steve lol
LOL AWESOME DUDE
Is there any point to cr.mk as a poke? Does it counter low attacks better? It seems like cr.mp is the go to move for pokes
I use cr.mp as well. It does have a nice purpose for chaining if you can train yourself to hold down. if you hold down forward/back you just get sway (shitty).
Been on Steve Fox since Tekken 4. So stoked to pick this game up and try him out. I realized he combos like C.Viper from SF4 in this game. All his flicker cancels into more normals. Looks like I’ll never get away from the viper character model.
What are you guys using as Jump in attacks? All of them seem really awkward
Steve’s damage is amazing, haven’t had time to check out the other characters damage outputs but steve with 3 meters is killing anyone with half health.
I love steve right now.
j.hk cr.hp xx ducking - fox hunt xx ex sonic fang -> cr.hp xx ducking - foxhunt xx super
651 dmg lol
Cr. Mk and Cr Mp have just about the same range and (as far as I can tell) start up. Difference is cr. Mk moves Steve forward a bit while cr. mp leaves him stationary. I’m not sure on advantage on block though, as I’m pretty sure cr.mp is + frames.
For this reason, if you are hit confirming cr. lp into chain, you should go cr. lp, cr.lp -> cr. mk -> st. hp -> ender. If you want to go into EX combo, cr. mk will move steve forward so you get close hp which is cancelable into ex duck or sonic fang. Also, sometimes if you do cr.lp, cr.mp, st.hp chain, the hp will whiff.
I am new to the game, and i’m having trouble getting Steve into his stances. I try to walk backwards and hold kick but it doesn’t work and I can’t do the peek-a-boo either. Is there something that i am doing wrong? Thanks
you press backwards with all 3 kicks.
what are you guys ending your combos with after EX Sonic Fang?i’ve just been doing :mp: :mp: :mp: :hp: hellfire.
in the corner after launch I’ve been looping messing around with looping cr.HP->flicker LP
crouching cancels both of his special stances
I use cr. hp xx ducking M, f. mp, lp, hold back for flicker stance, m or l flicker.
You have to wait a bit for the cr. hp, especially in the corner.
Day 1 damage… too fucking good.
