Shize: I don’t think so. His in game purple is a little too animated for realism. In the original picture, they may have been a little more brighter, but that’s probably the best I could do. The only option I could see would be a full on highlight painting (which isn’t gonna happen in high res, lmao). Hey can anyone make me a saints artwork? I want a pic of the saints fleur de lis, a super bowl 44 logo, a lombardi trophy somewhere, new orleans saints written across the top and my name in one of the bottom corners.
if you are half decent with photoshop you can do it. i came to the conclusion that this request thread probably won’t be active again for a couple months so i decided to sit down and do the shit myself. just download the templates from art’s website and put everything together if it’s not to complex.
Glad you got yours done. I was thinking about throwing one up for you, but my mouse has been dead and I couldn’t decide on a good idea for it = p.
But yeah, brydon’s right. Sticks aren’t too hard. I find most people seem to have a problem cutting images out. Just need to find a pen tool tutorial, and you’ll be surprised how easy it is to make your own ^^. Still… be nice to have a request thread around though. Even as an artist, I probably wouldn’t wanna make my own >XD.
well i’m pretty scrubby at PS but what i basically did was get a huge, good quality image of the helmet and throw it on to a solid black background(it covers almost the entire left side of joystick). added some text around the buttons, placed a lombardi trophy, super bowl 44 logo, an nfl logo, and added a saints fleur de lis symbol at the bottom. i really like how it came out but my only regret is that i wasnt able to much with the background, its just black but its mostly all covered up anyway. i’ll post pics in the check out my stick thread once everything comes in.
thats just it, im not… i generally hate photoshop because i feel they made everything overly complex in it. but i guess ill have to bite the bullet… ive got a good friend that can use it really well, but i’ve gotten so much help from him that i hate to keep asking. maybe ill get him to give me a lesson or 2.
Thats just the thing, if you refuse to try to even Semi Learn Photoshop, its going to always seem overly complex when in actually, its as simple as it can get. When you really think about everything that Photoshop has to offer, its insanely simple. And if you ever question whether its worth it or not to learn PS for anyone, just look around on Deviant art and see the amazing things people have come up with.
If you take a little bit of time and familiarize yourself with the basics of PS, Making a stick-art will not be hard. You can ask any artist in the world, which is harder, coming up with a good idea, or creating it? You’ll see that most go with the latter.
Youre also a part of an online community thats notorious for helping people when they are stuck in whatever it is that they may be doing, so giving it a shot and coming back for help is a really good option to explore.

So I’m a little confused, the thead title has said “no more requests” for quite a while now, but there seem to be those responding to requests. Can we post a request and have someone other than the OP do it or not?
I was doing a few, but my mouse/time is on hiatus, so I stopped answering side-requests. Just gotta wait @@. Some people are posting in the main forum area, but, I’d still recommend having source images and an idea ready (seeing a request with bare bones descriptions make me unenthusiastic to pick up requests, as I’m sure is true for other artist).
