The ST match vids + discussion thread

Can someone explain the OS that Fei uses against Boxer in the corner. I know it’s j.attack, st.jab, then throw, but why does it work so well against Boxer? I’m sure Boxer’s throw out-ranges Fei.

Kurahashi (Guile), Nakamura (Cammy), Hanashi (Fei Long), and Yuuvega (Deejay) going at it. Scary.

Nasty spacing with this Chun.

That dude has a really insane Ken (that couldnt shine in that vid dude to Chun being more insane than him, lol).

Yeah, not the best way to fight chun with ken. I give it up for his gusto though. But trying to out footsie chun, you’re going to have a bad time. He probably should have created space and applied fireball pressure.

Probably easier said then done though. That chun was all up on his nuts with the quickness.

I wanna know what Daigo was trying to say with

Slow running makes me think of speed walkers lol. I mean just look at the way the guy in this gif moves his ass. You KNOW he has good footsies when he can move his ass like that. I think I just might speed walk my way to work tomorrow in yellow spandex and a hot pink wife beater.

edit:

hell i might even do a little shake weight just to burn a few more calories

Pretty vicious Chun. Very aggressive and accurate with them pokes. I was halfway through the match when I noticed that he was using O.Chun. Mad respect.

I think that Ken player is extremely good, but had an extremely bad strategy for this matchup. You can’t outpoke Chun, no matter how good you are, and should’ve stuck with the zoning game. There’s no super to fear, so take your time and take control of the pace of the match with the fireball.

Genety is the reason I started to play Ochun

Muteki looks kind of rusty in this video, but I’ve never seen a Ryu man-handle him like that before.

There are lots of recent videos in this account. Great ones, BTW:
Komoda vs various
SSF2 Daigo casuals
Mattsun vs various

Oh yeah, he uploaded quite a lot of good matches on his channel. I just wanted to showcase that one. I assume by now, most people will have subscribed to him.

Can some one link me to that awesome youtube of that Gief player who constantly trapped I think, uh, Gian’s Sim in the corner and kept SPD’ing him after reversal teleport? Spent the last 20 minutes trying to find it :frowning:

Edit: Apparently it has dropped off the face of the internets:

That sucks.

Hanashi crushing people as usual. LOL at the final match, Numa Fei vs. Hanashi Balrog.

damn man you beat me to posting that video!

i love that match vs doctor’s sim

this should be shown to those sf4 stream monsters and random haters/3s trolls wandering into the st room on ggpo

If you show it to them, most will complain at how broken the throws are, how high the damage is or some bullshit like that.

They can complain, but they would be wrong. The throws are not broken, they need to be powerful so that turtlers are forced to get off their ass and do something. The high damage is good for keeping you on your toes and makes you focus on not making mistakes.

Man I really hope Capcom Japan releases ST on the next gen consoles (arcade perfect port with international release pls!). That’s mainly my biggest hope right now.

Chun’s mp throw against old chars is bs though.

Chun’s mp throw in general is a BS. It’s a one-button SPD. I know it’s a glitch, but damn, that glitch hurts if you can’t/didn’t tech it.

Throws, for new characters aren’t really broken, but throw loops are pretty damn stupid from a design stand point.

hush your dirty whore mouth

You just mad because that’s the only way you win. trololololol.
