I don’t recall seeing these types of tourneys until the past year. They’ve mostly been held at Nakano Royal, which wasn’t even an ST hotspot until around the same time period. Perhaps the more carefree atmosphere has been its key to success, allowing it to separate from traditional, longstanding regular events at Game Spot Versus and Game Newton.
This post is really dumb, for various reason, and I really don’t want to address them all, but basically, you’re wrong. Also learn Sim because that’s like a 9-1 matchup there. Pretty sure claw and rog and chun li and ryu don’t have to deal with 9-1 matchups. Also low tiers don’t matter dude, deal with it. Who cares about Cammy, she sucks and isn’t even fun to play.

Now I bet you all think I’m a huge troll, but I’m not, I’m distressed as a member of the ST community, I don’t want to play people who hate my guys and think I am destroying their ST experience, but I also wanna win. O.Sagat brothers, stick together, stand strong, you are the last of a dying breed, eventually all the whiny babies (who usually play characters like Ryu and Chun Li and crappy low tiers) will drive us out.
I’m wondering where all these O.sagat players came from to take away so many tourney wins from you anyways. I think you forgot the fact that NOBODY EVEN PLAYS SAGAT, which means you don’t, which means you probably don’t know much about him, which means you’re a moron.
I don’t care if I look like a dick, I don’t mean problems to anyone, but this o.gat has got to stop, this game is 17 years old, how shitty do you have to be still be stuck in the 2003 metagame where O.Gat is reigning supreme. It’s 2012 and Claw, Chun Li, Rog and Ryu players are winning all the tournaments. Wake the fuck up.

If you really care about O.sagat, you should actually point out why he is legit instead of saying random shit, because from all the posts above people seemed to think the same way, and your post is not helping the poor o.sagat’s reputation. Last I checked, oken and ohawk were winning all the tournaments. Claw, Chun, and Ryu haven’t won anything in a long time. Certainly not last year.
In the East. In the West its been Valle N Ryu, Afro Deejay and Rog. And I snuck one in there with N Hawk.
I’m not talking about $5 locals where people play with giant bear heads on turbo 4.
I’m talking about the real deal, all the majors that happen all over the country outside of the little bubble known as socal.
Only Valle and Muffinman have had the courage to leave your schoolyard.

We had SCR. Super Arcade qualifies is coming up, so hopefully I don’t need to leave my school yard to qualify. But if not, We still have North West Majors on our side. With some luck, maybe we can play at EVO.

To back up my coast, we have the best players in the nation from past to present…Watson, Choi, Valle, Graham and Alex Wolfe, Jason Cole(when he lived here), Shirts, DGV, Snake Eyes, myself, etc.
There are a lot of good players all over the country but the most dominant ones have lived in Cali. Also, the last time I remember you visiting my coast was at West Coast Warzone 2 and you lost to DGV there and didn’t make top 8…and guess who won that tourney?

I was not going to, but I ended up entering. I replaced “rbrmyself”, who could not show up.
Gamespot has Komoda Blanka and (according to Nikaiten) the legend of legends Pony Zangief guest starring this week! One of the Feis also showed some nasty shenanigans vs O.Sagat. Overall it was a lot more hype than it has been lately. The ending is so goood :p.
