NH2 did. Under “usual suspects”. He then uploaded it to U2b. But thanks for noticing: U2b has some interesting functions such as allowing is to point to particular matches, which I believe we can not with the N²D videos.

Edit: I watched the first of the Gyouza Cup videos for now, only. It has very impressive Blanka action. It reminded me of some Nohoho footage from some finals, some amazing performance.

i can’t watch the team battle for some reason. i can see the scrolling comments and the advertisement but no sound or the game. the danisen video is fine both here and nohoho’s page but no team battle here or off nohoho’s. i have a nico account too and can access the danisen vid through my account too. any help would be appreciated.

This happens all of the time with Nico. Try clearing your cache and cookies and whatnot with Nico and see if that helps. If not then use one of the Nico re-director sites, download the .mp4 from Nico using something like Ultraget, or wait until Nohoho downloads it and posts it on YouTube. Nico Video is full of problems.

thanks for the info. i can’t read japanese so i’m not even going to bother with trying to download anything from there. nohoho is really good about putting up vids so i usually just wait until the next batch. do appreciate all of the ST vids, insight, and whatnot.

I believe that short x2 into super only combos 50% of the time with Ryu even if you execute perfectly. All other characters do not suffer this problem. I can’t remember where I read that, or maybe NKI just told me it, but that is probably where the confusion comes from.

if you’re having problems with nico vids off of here or nohoho’s site, you need to lower your cookies bar from proxy changes (thanks nohoho,vff for cookies suggestions). if in chrome, go to the wrench in upper right corner. click options, under the hood tab, change proxy settings, privacy tab, then move the bar to “low.”

at the 1:19 mark, is there a trick to this combo? does it have to be against t-hawk? i tried this combo for a while and the start up frames of the knee press always allows the block.

The trick is that you need a programmable controller or a macro script. But seriously, I would be shocked if you could land that combo even once if you spend an entire day doing it. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow and see if I can get it once. When Desk was fooling around with HDR combos a year or so ago he performed most of the harder ones on HDR Speed Zero (no skipped frames) and none of his combos were as hard as that one.

Doing cr.mk into Super with Dictator is very tough. I’ll write out the trick for getting crouching attacks into Supers but then adding on the rest of that combo will be tough as hell.

  • Basically get point blank next to your opponent.
  • Put the stick in defensive crouch.
  • Go from downback to downforard twice in a row
  • The second time through hit down+medium kick (or downback+medium kick)
  • Then hit downforward+kick

With the Psycho Crusher and Scissor Kicks you need to go from back, downback, or even upback, into forward and press a button. With Dictator’s Super (and all other charge Supers) [media=youtube]6qdyhRmSFmc&#t=1m33s"[/media]. You don’t actually have to put the stick out of a downward direction. Make sense?

If you are getting Scissor Kicks it means that you are moving the stick directly forward as opposed to downforward. Try doing cr.strong punch into Super with Dictator and getting the hang of that.

Doing cr.mk into Super is pointless in real matches. And yes that combo probably has to be on on Hawk or Zangief at midscreen though I’m sure it would work on Fei or Guile in the corner (providing that they are dizzied beforehand).

yeah, it isn’t really practical since by the time you have enough meter for the super, regular scissors would probably kill your opponent in the combo anyway. it’s just one of those “monkey see, monkey do” kind of things. also, there are vids of yuuvega doing something similar for chip damage and exhibition purposes but i don’t think the knee press would have connected. there is a definite hitch prior to it coming out unlike the combo vid. basically, i can do what yuuvega does here in practice, but like i said, the super just doesn’t connect.

I’m actually more impressed by the empty xup devil reverse into scissor kicks at the 2 min mark. IIRC it takes perfect timing to switch directions as soon as you cross up to keep the charge. The fact that it was done in an online match is also pretty impressive.

I saw him do it again later on in the series so I doubt it was random. Watching him play made me want to play bison lol.
