did I ever tell you guys I did a djfrijoles story time fiction edition once? This was way back when HDR hype was at an all time high. Everyone was taking numbers to sit on Sirlins lap and ride his schlong. Every day the HDR thread was on fire with about 50-60 posts average. We went through like 3 threads of 30000 posts or some shit.

When it was first announced we were told it was the same exact game with updated grafx in HD. This by itself drove everyone ape shit. All of a sudden there was so much talk about ST all over the place when before this the ST section was dead as fuck. The section would go about a week to a week and a half without a single post. There weren’t nearly as many members on SRK as there are now. In order to get a game of ST you had to have all the players on MSN or AIM and then you hit them up to see if they wanted to get a set in.

Then Sirlin hit us with an update that shocked everyone. **Changes ! **

Bugs were to be fixed, balance changes were to be implemented, options to play with old or new sprites. For the very first time, a game ( THEE GAME, AT THAT ) was to be made pretty much by the fans. This is when SRK started blowing up. Around this time even old SF2 big names started coming out of the wood works and putting in their 2 cents as to what would make the perfect balance changes. From there it wasn’t uncommon to see “this is gonna be the greatest game ever made”

So many people waited so long for HDR as one whole group that looking back it’s kind of fucked up to see how that all turned to dog shit.

HDR kept getting delayed which only fueled everyone’s hard ons to rage harder. Then he would give us an update on the
art work, changes, and effects it had with names like Choi and Graham Wolfe testing all this shit out and people just couldn’t wait for this muther fucker to come out.

To make a long story short…David Sirlin was the most important man in SRK at the time. So your faithful servant saw it only fitting to delve into a work of fiction in dedication to the mutha fuckin man Sirlin. The man that stood the fuck up and tried to do something for the ST community. I don’t play HDR anymore but to this day I still support Sirlin and his efforts.

I’ll bet you guys didn’t know Sirleen has a wooden leg ?

Wanna know how he got that wooden leg ? That fucker pulled me from the claws ( no pun intended ) of death when we were in the bush back at Nam.

So there we are being overrun and were all bunkered down and shit. We got Charlie all around us screaming and shooting every fucker that moves so I’m really scared and crying. Sirleen is in the trench right beside me and and he has that crazy look in his eyes ( the one he uses at tournys ) and firing off rounds from his
modded M16 grenade launching rifle ( sanwa trigger ). he see’s he can’t kill them all so he PICKS ME UP on his shoulder like I was wounded ( but I wasn’t, I was just crying ) and he starts running like he has never ran before.

Sirleen is one lucky mutherflower ( proven by past tourny results ) but the SF Gods were NOT with us that day :sad:

Charlie is right on our toosh and Sirleen is getting tired ( I’m fat )
and takes an AK-47 shot right behind the knee. Blows his fucking leg right the fuck off right below the knee !

Soz I start crying harder like a lil bitch but do you think that stopped him ? FUCK NO !!!

Sirleen proceedes to HOP ALL THE WAY OUT THE BUSH WITH ME ON HIS SHOULDER !!!

Notes:

Ryu’s hurtbox is a blue vertical line.

The enemies hurtbox is the red box (where your sword can hit them), however for your subweapons to hit them it must touch their projectile hurtbox which is the vertical line going through them. Spin slash does not count as a projectile and is a sword attack.

Objects (lanterns, bees, etc…) the vertical line is where you need to hit it with the sword, the outlined box is where you can touch to grab the pickup once dropped. This is the only thing I am somewhat uncertain of being incorrect because I only tested level 1. For sure the dropped item boxes are correct, it’s only hitting the lanterns I’m unsure of, which shouldn’t be a problem as lanterns are probably the least of someones interest when it comes to the boxes. I just don’t feel like spending more time to verify it.
