The pain is only temporary but pride is forever.
I hereby give you an E-Hug.
Any new ultra confirms, special changes I hope get listed.
Nice Going.
This news will be decide whether I will stick with Bison (for I have grown very fond of him), or move on to Makoto.
I sort of want him to get buffed. At the very worst stay the same. They better NOT nerf.
Yup, basically if they don’t fix his issues I will have to sadly put up my dreams of world domination and become a respectable gentlemen. Don’t make Bison Gutter Trash!
If thunderbolt punch is the same as it was in 2I, it’s already infinitely better than headstomp will ever be.
I’m probably switching to Deejay, Makoto or Dudley at this rate. Love Bison, he’s had a good run. But SSF4 will not be another SF4 for me, I’m not going through this again. Haha~
It’s hard man, even going to Evo last year and seeing the complete lack of Dictator on the big screen. If I was Ono, I’d really sit down and wonder “Man, I wish I could see more of all these other characters me and my team spent a lot of time on in the finals.” I mean, as a developer of a fighting game, I would personally want to see a great variety of matchups.
Oh well, yay for 3s characters. Definitely.
yeah no problem guys, i know its kind of obnoxious, but i was just really polite when i asked him and let him know that im sure he’s getting his inbox flooded with requests about X main, but bison is among the few that we’ve heard literally nothing about, not even one confirmed nerf/buff whatever. we’ve heard stuff about guile, vega, sim, rose, balrog, sagat, ryu, ken, chun, akuma, seth, and others but nothing on lord bison and only a handful of others. so yeah im really looking forward to sunday night-monday. if he doesnt have to deal wih an embargo on vanilla characters then we should be able to get a decent idea of what super dictator will be like.
Still not dropping him unless they do something completely stupid like make scissor kicks -2 or something on block, but either way I’m planning on getting solid with at least two other characters besides Bison and Seth and that’s probably going to be Adon and Dudley
I’ll never drop him, no matter what. I will be loyal to bison till the end even if he is still the same SH!TTY like he was in SF4. Why? Because i’ve been using him ever since SF2 and from that point foward i mained bison. BOW AND KISS THE RING!
You bunch of traitors! lol
Im dictating fo life!
I didn’t even take 3rd strike serious for the lack of M.Bison and his gang, all I could think about in that game was SK the shit out of that cast.
laudanum09 good stuff man, now we play the waiting game.
Might be a little off topic but why werent any of the shadaloo members in it? INCLUDING BISON!
I was just watching this video and it made me realize that bison could really use a fierce punch that moves him forward (like Ryus in sf4- and the one in that video) which he could cancel from. Then you’d never have to worry about spacing when punishing shit like dps and it would really really boost his rush down if he could just randomly lunge forward fp xx lk scissor 220 dmg (if its lk scissor).
Something like that would make bison so much more fun to play and between that and his pokes like s mk and scissors no one would really want to get too close to you. Just make it something like back+fp= lunge punch.
SF3’s storyline apparently has Shadaloo as gone, out of the picture. . .
But they’re getting ready to retcon the hell out of it anyway. I wouldn’t take it too seriously.
Though imagine SF3 with Dictator in it, my god. I’d have paid good money.
sings the song the parties over, why knocking back a beer for his dead beloved but tragically passed away M. Bison
RIP destroyed by Capcom in a brand loyalty stunt gone wrong.
just adding to the funeral atmosphere in this thread (rightfully a funeral atmosphere too)
I’d say crouch mp already serves this purpose. It’s an overlooked move but it has great range and you can easily link st.hk off it if you don’t have a charge.
It seems to be though that often s.hk can go over the other characters head unless your closer than the max c.mp distance. Also being able to cancel forward FP into lk scissor would make it safe, c.mp to s.hk is not safe on block. I see your point though.
That’s one of the main reasons I didn’t even touch the the SF3 series when it was released and stuck to the alpha series. I would’ve and still would kill for an SF3 incarnation of Dictator and the any of the other 3 Shadaloo lords.
Eventually of course, I found myself strangely attracted to Urien. A villain who for all intents and purposes is a charge character.
Still Bison in SF3 would’ve been priceless.
Fair enough, but I was thinking more in the case where someone jumps over you (i.e. still close) and you don’t have a charge for PC or SK. If you’re catching them with the tip of cr.mp, odds are you will have that charge ready.
You have a vaild point though. In the case where you’re far and/or playing against a shorty, you can always substitute the st.hk with st.mk albeit for less damage.
I thought SF3 didn’t have Shadaloo because they wanted to reinvent the franchise a bit and use a new character lead and stuff.
No SF3 takes places after SF2 and it alleges that Shadaloo was destroyed after SF2. This was all the case until SF4 came along and revealed that Shadaloo was not destroyed after SF2 and that Bison went underground and is biding his time while his enemies are busy dealing with SIN which is an offshoot of Shadaloo. In fact, one could infer from Bison’s SF4 ending that he masterminded the destruction of Shadaloo and the rise of SIN for some vague purposes that is yet to be revealed.
Also whether Shadaloo and Bison himself will survive passed this chapter and re-emerge in a post-SF3 sequel is yet to be known.
So basically, what Tony said.
