Throw invincibility and attack invincibility is two different things. EX Psycho Crusher has 14frames for start up and isn’t consider in the air till frame 37, therefore he can be thrown till the 37th frame just like how you can throw boxer outta his TAP if he gets into throw range before he hits you.

They’d have to make it so that EX psycho is instantly in the air and that would make it impossible to FADC out of. Which I don’t really mind, that’s three stocks that no Bison player would want to lose.

personally, i am not as big a fan of his sHK as most people seem to be. It’s DECENT for AA, but trades or flat out loses to a lot. It whiffs a lot of times where it just mysteriously sails RIGHT over/through your opponents head, and simply enough, I just find sMK to be much more useful. Especially considering sMK can hit a cMK shoto, but sHK can’t.

and yes, if Sagat’s can double hit (especially considering he already has the best fireballs to harrass your FAing, as well as two HELLA useful moves that can focus break), I dont see why Bisons can’t do that or something more fun.

It was stated in the Bison forum that Bison is getting a damage boost. Is this true?

That would be nice, but I don’t think it’s been confirmed. Bison has to work a bit for his damage, but I guess that’s never been a problem with his previous incarnations - i.e. Touch of Death, Paint the Fence. He feels much more like a hit and run character to me.

sub zero bison is badass. I’ve also seen him dressed in nazi gear too.

Anywho, bison getting a damage boost seems necessary. PC could easily stay the exact same, just do an extra 100 damage, and it would still be underpowered. HS and DR should do a hell of a lot more damage, with DR armor breaking.

Yeah except their st. hk, right? Don’t forget Ryu’s j. hk or Sagat’s st. hk x2. Bison’s st. hk isn’t actually that good. . .it’s just better than most of his tools (most of his specials and simple combos). It’s pathetic really. At least buff Bison’s damage so there’s actual motivation to perform some of his combos as opposed to landing a st. hk. It’s mostly for style points at the moment.

His normals need their hitboxes fixed (whiffing cr. lk/cr. mk on balrog, chun, etc.). I do enjoy starting a combo and having either of these kicks pass through the character, especially if it’s a cr. mk! I like being punished for performing combos!

^ wurd. Bison’s roundhouse is great for STOPPING jumps. Spacing has to be just right to get a clean AA and it often requires walking forward first since the closer you are the better (hitbox is bigger on the legs than at the tip of the boot) it’s a GREAT tool but Sagat’s is faster by a frame and does two hits and has a better hitbox overall. Comparatively, Bison’s is mediocre. This would be all fine and dandy. I wouldn’t care if he had like Akuma health if he was an offensive beast. Right now he is a pressure character whose pressure can be mitigated by simply taking a piss break and holding down back/teching throws. Bison has to make you flinch to get that damage in, and when he does the reward is mediocre.

and an overhead that moves him forward slightly would be great. like i said if youre not a flincher there’s not much scary about bison, but an overhead totally compliments his current pressure tools, the main one being shorts. the block high/low thing would help him get in there and give him some more mixup instead of a his currently linear but fun pressure game.

I’m sure we’ll get something nice, at least one little thing. Oh and BTW, Sagat’s standing short or forward now does two hits too :slight_smile: I’m expecting this level of alterations so I think its safe to say we can see some normals being tweaked around a bit for everyone across the board. Sakura getting a crossup forward for instance. That’s a significant game changer for such a minor change. Two more months!

Bison’s st. hk used to hit twice in the alpha series if deep enough I dunno why they gave us a half assed version of it…

I’d like it if you could cancel combo in a scissors kick after landing a ST.RH. That would be useful.

Since st.RH is currently used mostly to pre-emptively stuff jumps, I’m not sure I’d want it to do 2 hits. That would just make it do less damage overall. Sure it might be nice as an armor break, but he has other tools for that.

Frankly I think it would be more of a nerf.

Would cancellable st.mk be too beefy :wonder:?
